Castelvecchi

I used to come here as a child,but don't live near it anymore so it was a treat to see it still open. I just got chips and they are one of the few chippies will serve them in vegetable oil-they were amazing-not one bad chip lol! Staff are really pleasant,there was a good menu of food too so I'll be back to try a pizza next time. Seemed to be busy and still has a seating area.

I hadn't been in Castlevecchi for years and years until last week when we were all in the town centre and decided to get some lunch. After looking at a couple of places I remembered Castlevecchi was just around the corner and we headed there. I was really surprised to find that inside was exactly how I remembered it and I felt like I'd been transported back in time and I was a teenager popping in for some scran on a Saturday afternoon with my mates again. We sat down, gave the woman took our orders and a few minutes later well were tucking into lunch. The food tasted exactly the same as I remember it (delicious) the chips were thick and chunky but not stodgy and the pizza crunch I ordered was full of flavor. We're definitely going to be back because my daughter absolutely loved the place and announced that because she'd had her first lunch in Castlevecchi she was officially a proper Paisley buddy and she keeps asking if we're going to put in a just eat order anytime soon.
