Went for an evening meal (Saturday 6:45) and was genuinely impressed. A good menu, with something for all tastes. Food was cooked to a high standard with service to match. Tables are a decent size and not crowded together. Prices are more than reasonable for the quality and service standard. Starter, main, and a drink for two and a coffee for one to follow, fir under £70 isn't bad at all. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely fantastic place to dine out for mothers Day. (See pictures) The soup (celeriac) was spot on. Fillet steaks were cooked perfectly and well presented. The peppercorn sauce was brilliant. I could tell it was made in-house. The desserts sticky toffee pudding was a great homemade pudding with a brilliant vanilla bean ice cream. Service - great, we had a complication with some custard 🙄 to be completely honest. It was a guest at our table being fussy with lumps in some custard, but the staff dealt with it promptly and sorted out the issue. (Thanks for sorting it out so professionally) Will be coming back to The Wayfarer.
