We had such a great experience at this pub. Service is welcoming, friendly and really quick. The food was really nice - a menu with a really good range, all the classics but some tasty alternatives as well and dietary requirements are catered for. Good kids’ menu. The food itself was very nice. The garden out the back is lovely, lots of seating and a little kids play area. Staff were great with our toddler and the other kids around. I’d definitely come back.
The food was great! Really nice garden to sit and eat in. The ladies working there were all really lovely. The apple pie was delicious!!
Really pleasant surprise! Stop over to Chichester. Would go again. Great food and huge garden in front and one behind. Not huge portions but good enough and felt like a real find. Thank you! We had confit very nice. It's difficult to get good chicken dish as always dry.
A really nice place to eat at and I especially like the decorated walls with the antlers and barrels. I've only ever eaten here twice over the years of coming past here and would to come back more often.
A pricey lunch but the food was sooo good! Went Saturday lunchtime and it was quiet. Need more staff still as service was stretched thin.
Really enjoyed our lunch at the World's End.
The building was a nice place to be and there were plenty of waiting staff who were all very attentive.
The menu was broad without being excessive and there were some great options. The food wasn't the cheapest, but they were generous portions and it was all really tasty.
I would suggest this is great venue for larger groups (provided you book ahead) or a quieter drink - the inside is separated into lots of different areas and there is lots of outside space to.
All in all it was good value for great food and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Love this place, excellent food and setting. Staff are always friendly. I highly recommend the flat iron steak with frites, the baked camembert, and the home made scotch egg. Plus everything else.
Edit : Please see the revised review, following my comments all the issues mentioned have been completely fixed thanks to the team at The Worlds End
How disappointing, my family and I have visited many times and always had a first class experience every time.
Sadly last night that didn't happen, fabulous greeting by the staff great atmosphere and all was set for another good experience.
fast forward to the meal, Oh dear ! , I had the roast lamb, portions so small it was no more than 1 or 2 bites on each chop (3) plate was padded out with oversized veg.
My wife had the butter nut squash that was supposed to be roasted but was not, under cooked, bland, no imagination, just 2 pieces of kale.
This was an anniversary treat for my wife, we up and left without bothering with dessert.
I was still hungry !
Edit 27/7/23
We received a considerable contribution toward another visit to The Worlds End and I am delighted to say all is back to normal wonderful food and plenty on the plate, huge thanks to Charlotte and her team, we will be back.
What a Cozy pub!
You need to stop here and relax, have a beer, play a board game or simply feel at home.
The pub has been recently renewed and has a lovely atmosphere.
The decoration is superb.
It has a great menu for food (with lots of vegetarian options), and the assortment of beers is great.
It has many different areas, an outdoor area, a proper dining room, and a very cozy living room with couches and board games.
It also has a regular sitting area.
The staff of the place is great!
If you fancy a lovely time, do stop here!
Lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was amazing with lots of choice for vegans and meateaters. Its rare to be able to eat a full 3 course vegan dinner! Would definitely recommend.
