Had lunch here, as it scored high on Google maps and I would definitely recommend. Nice little pub, which is larger inside than it looks. I like the split bar which creates a public bar and lounge/restaurant seating. Staff were great/really friendly and the food/drink was served quickly. Good selec
We had a lovely lunch here today. Good choice of dishes. We chose from the specials menu . The food was delicious and well presented . The fruit crumble and custard was really good! The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend a visit.
We came here for our dinner whilst on holiday. The service was excellent. There was only one member of staff working in the busy restaurant area when we were there and she was doing a wonderful job under pressure! The food was amazing! Great portions sizes for adults and kids. Would definitely go ba
I can’t recommend this place enough. Me and my partner came for a quick lunch here, not knowing the area. The young brunette waitress, was amazing very kind and attentive running the restaurant. The food is the best I’ve ever had. A good steak pie with a gravy, large portions. Chef needs a pay rise
If your in the area I would highly recommend the food here . Lovely friendly staff, service very quick if not a bit too quick between courses. Food portion size is not for the faint hearted, probably the best lasagne I've ever had 😋
We stayed in an apartment in the village but this is a great pub with fantastic food. The steak pie is fantastic, packed with more meat than you can imagine. Others had the Moroccan lamb and the homemade burger. All were lovely. The staff were fab as well 😀

Visited two weeks ago. A great pub with some fantastic home cooked and fresh food. I couldn't not get over how large my steak and ale pie was! Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through the area.
Great pub meal and very friendly service. The menu on the website didn't look very exciting but the specials board had all sorts of more unusual dishes which was a nice surprise. We ordered the venison loin which was perfectly cooked and came with an absolute mountain of veg, and the classic burger

Monday night, post VV busy Pateley show weekend. Malaysian curry flavours exactly what you’d expect, spicy but warming coconut flavors, a nice variation to the traditional pub grub. (If you haven’t had Matts steak and Ale pie, you’ve missed a reet treat) CHECK OUT THE SPECIALS!! Great mix of local
