I booked their function room for a family meal for my sisters birthday tonight & the staff could not have been more helpful from start to finish. Service was amazing, food delicious & very reasonably priced. We were well looked after & not rushed at all. The added bonus of a private room made the evening much more special. Thank you so much �

Friendly front of house, I walked in and was offered a table in the restaurant or bar the only difference was table service or take a number.
It's a Badger Pub so some lovely ales on Tap.
I opted for a pint of Tangle foot which was arrived very quick and my order was taken to the kitchen.
I went with the Sloppy Joe beef burger and it was lovely with a bit of spice from some jalapeño with seeds still in. Yum.
For desert, I opted for the sticky which had some chunks of honeycomb with it and vanilla ice cream.
Very yummy.
Thanks to the whole team and ill most definitely be back when I'm parking over the road.
A nice atmospheric pub. Whilst the menu may be limited for vegetarians, the food comes out hot and quite quickly.
I had the vegan burger and it was tasty albeit a little dry. Delicious mozzarella wands and a bit of spice to the chilli con carne so beware!
Great food and staff, prices comparable for the area and type of food served, handy if you’re stuck at Pease Pottage services for the weekend!
I can heartily Recommend the beef Sunday dinner, beef was perfectly cooked and the veg was crisp and fresh.
Had a really lovely meal in the Black Swan, before going onto Gatwick. The Chicken and Hock pie was the best I have ever had.
Great pub and food. Large portions and very tasty. Family and dog friendly(bar area only). Lovely pub lunch!
We came for our favourite, the ham hock and chicken pie with mash cabbage, peas and bacon and the signature chicken gravy. We have tried this in other Hall and Woodhouse pubs as my husband is a huge fan of Badger Brewery and its always 10/10. Sad to say we were given normal gravy, as it was a Sunday and possibly easier for the chef, however this was a slip in attention to detail, the pie was also very dry. Admittedly when I let the waitress know about the gravy she told the kitchen staff and it was replaced. Staff lovely, not sure why it closed at 9:45pm, on a bank holiday Sunday but maybe this is standard as its in a residential area.
Huge pub, well decorated, good food and beer
Had lunch there one Wednesday summer afternoon. Wasn't very busy. Polite, attentive staff. Good selection of food, well-priced.
The place is large and the paved garden quite a good size.
Toilets very clean.

Went on a Wednesday night, only two staff front of house. They could handle the drinks orders but weren't managing to keep the glasses collection going. Staff were very good and I think they could have done with a third pair of hands. Food and drinks were all good and regulars were friendly and welcoming.
Very spacious and relaxed venue. Tables are not crammed in together, and we never felt rushed.
A good range on the menu. I tried the burger and did not regret it. Tasted like it had just come off the bbq. Finished with the banoffee cheesecake and a very good coffee.
Attentive service. No problem asking for extra drinks sauces. There was always staff about to ask.
Great evening had by the both of us!
Good was great and plentiful. Ordered the hoisin wings and cheese garlic bread to start which were really tasty.
Fish and Chips was equally tasty!
Service was fast and the waiting team were very attentive.
Deffinitely ordering the burger next time, Look forward to visiting again.
