From the moment we walked in we felt at home, warmly welcomed in the stylish dining room. Drinks were quickly forthcoming and then we had plenty of time to acclimatise and look over the menu. Three courses for £30 doesn't even begin to describe the delights within, starters were preceded by an amuse bouche of a gazpacho shot which was so creamy and light it must have been whipped. Starters were fresh and exciting, the mains were truly out of this world, desserts to die for, coffee, the whole shebang. The staff are fantastic, attentive and friendly but never in your face, and with an easy going manner that makes you feel like old friends rather than strangers. Janine and I eat out a lot, and as a sixth anniversary treat, tonight was perfect. We'll definitely come back, thank you for having us
One of my regular eating spots, food is excellent, staff lovely and now I've sampled the cocktail bar I can highly recommend that also. Well worth a visit.
Excellent lunch once again from the Deli choice, very tasty. As usual it was busy when we arrived so booking is recommended.
Came for breakfast with friends. Plenty of space, even for a larger party. Had the dirty eggs and they were incredible - everyone enjoyed their meal. Coffee was spot on too. Service was attentive and friendly.
Myself and the wife have been here many times over the years and every time have loved our breakfast or lunch. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They also have a great selection of cakes at the front. Would recommend the Eggs Benedict!
We stopped in here for some lunch after staying at Peebles Hydro. It was quite busy inside, while waiting to get seated someone said if you order at the counter there is seating outside in the garden. Since it was a cracking day we did that.
We both had the club sandwiches and the portion size was massive, great value for money and very fresh and tasty.
Despite being busy we didn't have to wait to long for the food either.
The garden seating outside was lovely, a great selection of tables all with options to have shade or not.
It was clear the staff were busy, which is great to see, but had someone else in the restaurant not told us about ordering at the counter and the outside seating we might not have had such a great experience.
Delicious food. A big step up from the standard cafe fare.
Large warm sausage roll, various tarts/quiches all with various freshly prepared salads.
Was busy which wasn't surprising considering the quality of the food.
There's a nice restaurant room at the back of the café and deli, with good food. There is level wheelchair access down the side of the building (ask at the front door). Very helpful staff accommodating my companion in a wheelchair and brilliantly helpful when he felt ill.
Great spot for a snack and a chat! Had a beautiful and tasty scone with clotted cream and jam (maybe the best in Peebles?). I had an Americano whilst the rest had tea. Seating on the High St. perfect for watching the afternoon flow of humanity. The garden terrace considerably more serene if desired. Definitely worth a visit.
Hubby and I came for lunch a few weeks ago, had never been before but the place is lovely, staff where great and the food was wonderful. My husband even said the burger he had was so good its now set the bar for any burger he has elsewhere. Highly recommend.
Amazing food both for dinner and lunch. Sandwiches are big so be mindful if you just want something small for lunch. They also have smaller bites and cakes at the cafe.
Took refuge in this Deli to get out of the rain, what a stroke of good fortune that was ! We had lunch and a Cocktail, the Food was was wonderful ! We shared a Cheese and Meat Charcuterie, wow ! So so good ! The whole experience from the welcome, The service and the product, it was so good we booked a table for dinner the same evening 😀.
This place is a must for anyone looking for a good dinning experience in Peebles.
