Its a Greggs. As far as Greggs go its a good one. Friendly staff and polite service. The fact we have one in Penistone is brilliant. Only reason I give 4 stars is I dislike Greggs policy of charging more to sit in. They have 3 small tables, its hardly a gastro experience and there is no difference in service or product. Our community has alot of elderly who would love to sit in to keep warm or for a rest with a sausage roll and a coffee. Just charge the same.

Really good staff. I wanted a sandwich that wasn't already made up and although they don't make sandwiches to order they were very kind and made an exception. Nice atmosphere, lovely fresh food

Pretty much what you expect from a Greggs. Can get pretty busy with school kids at peak time but they're entitled to a lunch too!! Had plenty of freshly made stuff when I was in and queue moved fairly quickly. No complaints.

Great value. Great breakfast sandwiches. Coffee as good as if not better than Costa. And collect points with the app. What's not to like. And ample parking

Just had a leisurely walk around the outskirts of Penistone and checked on my phone for the nearest Greggs. Delighted there was one less than 500yds away. Two in the afternoon and still a good variety of sweet and savoury on display plus the steak bakes and sausage rolls we had were hot (our main Greggs gripe in the past”Luke warm tepid” scran!). Pleasant efficient staff. Decent double shot coffee too.Well done, definitely on top of our post walk pit stops in this area.

Service with a smile and local people are friendly and will have a chat. Sit in or take out is always useful! Be warned if you don't like kids, there are school kids that visit.
