Me and my husband had dinner here today with my parents. The pub is beautiful inside and all the staff were so so lovely and attentive. The food was unbelievably good. My husband and I had a burger, mom had pork belly and dad had the beef Sunday roast and everyone was super happy with their food. Delicious! Will definitely be coming back!! X

I needed a dog friendly place to eat to meet family with their doggies. The boat in was more than happy to help, they even have a doggie menu. As there was 11 of us we pre-ordered and the food was ampul portions and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. I also had the cheese cake which was 😋. Staff friendly and helpful and all in all really enjoyed our afternoon. Thank you.

Went for Sunday lunch with the family. Most of us ordered roast dinners, they were all piping hit and very generous portions. One member of our group opted for the larger Roast dinner but couldn't eat it all we had to take some home for the dog! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return.

We visited the boat yesterday for a meal. We had seen it advertised a lot on Facebook and the menu looked really good with lots of choices. The food was good I had a stake which was nice. The service was good the staff were very friendly and attentive. But then this singer came on just when we were about half way through our meals. The music was very loud and he was not a very good singer. Had to cringe a bit when he tried to get the high notes. We finished our meals quickly and left another couple also did the same. It was a shame as the food was good and at a fair price. I would go back again but NOT if he was singing

Came today with my wife and 1yr old granddaughter on a Friday at 2:30. Sat inside and ordered a child's sausage and chips and two 3 course meals from the lites menu. From the start to finish the service was great as was the food. We started with garlic mushrooms and the garlic mayo was so tasty and had actual pieces of crushed garlic. The whole experience was fantastic and the only way to prove it is to give the place a try. New Manager this year and she is doing a brilliant job.

Food was a bit late as something went wrong with the order, nobody's fault. Was given a complimentary drink by way of apology. Food was delicious. Hannah & staff were friendly & welcoming & helpful. Will definitely be back.

Great food; wide selection of dishes and super-friendly staff. Great lunch spot. Stopped for lunch on way to North Wales with two kids; wife and grandmother. Something on menu for everyone. Staff we’re extremely welcoming and keen to help. Help yourself jugs of iced water at the bar may seem like nothing but made keeping kids hydrated easy and fuss-free. Chef’s homemade smoky gravy was a highlight along with busy lock in front garden. Would definitely stop in again.

What can I say. I’ve just eaten the best pub meal I’ve had for at least five years. I ordered the Crisp Cooked Belly Pork. It was simply superb and complimented by a really good couple of pints of their guest ale I’m feeling very happy with life. My wife was equally happy with her meal, the Jack Daniels Sizzler Beef and the Pineapple Gin recommended to her. The pub itself seems to be part of a chain but don’t let that put you off. It has more of an independent, traditional village pub feel about it than most. The staff are friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be there. I would fully recommend the Boat.

Good food, reasonably priced, nice location next to the canal. Had the chicken sizzler which was very tasty but would've been good with wraps to turn into fajitas.
