Stopped there for coffee and scones on our way through Penrith. A lovely, quirky little cafe offering excellent home baking with friendly service at reasonable prices. Just remember to mind your head if climbing the stairs to the loo!

We stumbled across this delightful establishment whilst on holiday in the area of Penrith, it is a beautiful place to have a drink and bite to eat and myself and wife had tea and scones and son had chocolate cake, all home made and lovely friendly staff too, it's a very charming building with old roof beams, open fire and lots of character just across from the beautiful parish church, would highly recommend, you will love it.

When we arrived, every table was taken, but the lovely lady who greeted us promised to reserve a table for us if we came back in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, we were sat in a seat by the window close to the cosy fireplace. Tea came in a china teapot, and the Christmas dinner in a Yorkshire pudding wrap was delicious and very filling. What a lovely little tea shop. We will definitely return.

If you're in Penrith, make sure to stop by Daffodils! It's a great independent coffee house, with a great selection of freshly made cakes and hot food! They can cater for gluten free too! Staff were very helpful and was a good atmosphere. Toilets are upstairs.

Gorgeous little cafe tucked away in Penrith church yard. I brought my American friend here and she loved it! The young lady serving us was friendly and welcoming and the food was great! They also allow dogs which I though was really nice.

Just had one of the largest Christmas lunches I have ever had including a very large Yorkshire pudding. Very tasty it was too. Never had a bad meal there. Lovely home made cakes and scones and a roaring fire. What's not to love.

Lovely little tea room / coffee shop. Each teapot is unique and very large, so there’s enough for several top ups! The rest of the crockery (fine bone china) is a delight to use. We tried the chocolate cake and victoria sponge - both fabulous - but they do sandwiches, lunches etc. too.

You cant beat a welcoming log fire on a chilly day! Daffodils offer a fantastic service, great food and it is such a homely coffee house. The scones and homemade jam are well worth a visit. Highly recommended
