Outback Steakhouse

Tomahawk steak had massive bone and no meat (supposed to be 1kg, bone was maybe 600grams alone) and cost $100, what a rip off. The kids mac and cheese tasted so bland. The lamb chops were charcole black on one side (we asked for well done so not sure if that's how they cook well done). Bad food quality and small portions. Staff were excellent though 👌

We have dined here regularly and always enjoy the food. On our last visit the service was very slow and waited over half an hour to place our meal order and over 20 minutes wait for our drinks (2x cokes) . We have noticed lately that the service is slower but the food is consistent. We will be back to give the restaurant another shot as we enjoy the food, just hoping that the quality of service is better then we experienced on our last visit.

Using Waze to get here was confusing, located at the end of the Restaurant area. Nice Restaurant, clean and open with and outdoor area, with the atmosphere being warm and welcoming. Staff were well presented and friendly, and catered to out semi large group. Service was good and the food had come out quick, but my wife and I food was under cooked was only the downside. Beside that, we always enjoy the experience that Outback Steakhouse has to offer.

Tonight my husband ordered the Fillet Steak with prawns, what was served was a rump steak and no prawns. That's fine, but when that steak is served with a massive clump of fat (see photos), that a good portion of the steak was inedible. At the register for payment the waitress just pointed out that steaks come in different thicknesses and sizes. That maybe true, but serving up not what you ordered and totally unappetizing fat made for a poor meal at full price. Clump of fat on the left in photo.

The ambiance is great. My party and I had a booth seat. There was frequent attention by the waiters. They were friendly and attentive. Two pasta dishes and two steak orders were made along with kids menu and entrees. The prawn pops are incredible tasty, ask for sauce on the side if you don’t like the spice. The signature onion entree is also delicious. Tried the lavender cocktail of the month and was too sweet syrupy for my liking. The steak (new York strip) was good but I would expect more flavour from a steakhouse. There were four errors made by waiters but again I think maybe we were just unlucky on the night or perhaps the person taking our order was new. So four stars, definitely worth a night out.
