Came a couple of weeks ago and the food was delicious.The staff are lovely and accommodating.We are going back this evening and I know none of us will be disappointed..

Melanie and the other staff were very welcoming and friendly the food was absolutely delightful best Christmas Dinner every, only slight issue was out side to the car park very dark hard to see but overall the place is outstanding, ps best chips ever 🍟😍😍😍😍😍

Generally we had a very nice time. Staff friendly and helpful. Meal was mostly very good but they should remember that not everyone likes beef rare! An option for otherwise would have been appreciated.

Very cosy gastropub. Good service and food. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Menu is limited in range but what they offer they can cook. Do not forget to order a side of their triple fried chips! They are among the best you will ever eat. Lovely and friendly waiting staff too. Recommended.

Well worth a visit after a morning walking in Ulllswater area - delicious high quality food and I thought 2 courses at £20 was excellent value given that we are talking high end restaurant equivalent food here.
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere - dog was made very welcome.give it a visit you will not be disappointed.

The food was great, some oddities, wine by the glass is delivered in a small carafe that you pour into your glass I didn't get the point. (bread that came with the cheese board was burnt) however I really recommend you get a great lunch £20 two courses or £25 for three Fantastic value try it you won't be disappointed 😊❤️

This pub has high ambitions for its food. Dishes are complicated and presentation is excellent. The “pork scratchings” nibble was spectacular. My wife’s venison dish was excellent but my beef dish was poor with beef which was rare but dry (probably kept warm too long) and sides which lacked the advertised truffle and which did not seem to have any connection with either the beef or each other.
The wine list was uninteresting.
But hugely better than a normal pub.

What a lovely, dog friendly find on our way passing through Penrith. Set in a sleepy village, this isn't your average pub grub! The food is delicious, the staff are accommodating and very nice. Large car park, nice outdoor area as well as interior decor & loos. Not only did the food taste amazing but looks gorgeous. It did take quite a while but well worth the wait. Also while the garden is beautiful just be wary of wasps in the summer!

Went for Sunday dinner with the family. Great choice for kids food also. Staff were amazing with my little girl made the experience worth while. Will be back again asap!
