Beautiful, small indie café, quirky interior full of art with tables that are shared amongst customers. Owner was super friendly and chatted happily with the customers who were a mix of regular locals and tourists (like me!) as she took orders and made the food.
I had the Turkish eggs which were out of this world! Perfectly poached eggs, homemade flat breads and the right amount of spices to wake you up and get rid of any lingering hangovers 😂
I also took a cake to takeaway which was 👌🏼 Such an amazing array of cakes that you can tell have been made with a real passion for baking.
Deffo worth a visit if you are nearby, just gutted I didn't find this place earlier into my stay

My partner and I had a wonderful breakfast at Stargazy Cafe. The food was incredible, the coffee was great and speaking with Ruth, the owner, and learning about her and her life really made the experience that bit more special. This small, personable and stylish cafe/pantry is the hidden gem of Penryn!! Situated in the center of Penryn high street, you will find the most delicious food, cakes and coffees but also the most wonderful woman greeting you - Ruth, host and chef extraordinaire!! We love this place for so many reasons. Our fav meal is the tasty (and generous) Huevos Rancheros!!
Also the most amazing dish Ruth calls Caponata which combines a succulent aubergine stew with hummus and homemade focaccia bread… drooling now. Ruth is an absolute genius in the kitchen, and such a lovely lady, making everyone welcome with her charm and gentle stylish manner. Also she makes the most delicious selection of cakes, coffees and pastries… Go, feast and you’ll not regret it!!!
