Superb service, lovely contemporary restaurant over two floors and the steak was on level par with the best two I’ve ever had. One was a michilin stared restaurant and the other was a restaurant in la Seyne just outside Toulon in the south of france. I get around a bit and would never think twice of giving this place a recommendation. We’ll be eating there again I can assure you of that.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time, lovely food and friendly staff. I recommend the "Our take on a Jaffa Cake".

Nice restaurant. Well presented and proportioned dishes. Hake was beautiful. Local Cornish wine worth a try. Friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more!

Lovely restaurant - very atmospheric with good food and great service. Glad we decided to go. Bonus points for being dog friendly inside ! Bring cash for tips! As they can’t take tips on card.

Had a really lovely meal here last night for my partners birthday, so glad we picked this place. A really pretty cosy restaurant with good vibes. The food was literally outstanding! The bread rolls with the butter were delicious, great starters and I had the best steak I believe I have ever had in my life, it was cooked to perfection. Loved the drinks and the two ladies who served us were so polite and lovely would definitely come back here again the next time we visit Cornwall. :)

Our 2nd visit in 18 months whilst on holiday in Penzance. Lovely friendly & attentive service, terrific food & very pleasant ambiance. Only rated 4 as it was very quiet on our visit, with only one other table occupied.

Absolutely stunning food, one of the nicest fish dishes I have eaten in a long time. We went as a group of 6, and every one of us really enjoyed our meals, including 2 teenage boys. The service was outstanding. Gent who served us was very warm, friendly, and attentive. Would highly recommend a visit if you are visiting Penzance, you will not be disappointed!

Flawless. Lovely friendly staff - especially great (friendly and patient) with our young children. FOOD my my my was it excellent! I had rib eye surf and turf and would recommend it to all. Oh and the price was £40 less than I guessed before the bill came out so a winner with the wallet too! Just go already.

One of the best meals I have ever had. Fish tacos, crispy and tasty. Monk fish curry to die for. I had pud but could not finish but very very delicate and tasty. Can't recommend highly enough. You have to have a least 2 courses though, but worth it.

The food was lovely, from starter to dessert and even the complimentary bread and seaweed butter was amazing. I loved the cocktail as well.

Really great family meal. Service was excellent, friendly and informative. Food was delicious, I had the calamari broth, full of flavour. Main was The hake, again beautifully cooked and super tasty. My husband had the rib eye steak which tasted incredible and my daughter had the calamari to start followed by shell on prawns (an adjustment they made for her) as she doesn’t like batter or breadcrumbs, which she thoroughly enjoyed finished off with their home made vanilla ice cream for pudding, this was exceptional……so good in fact that we ordered a bowl for us. Really a great restaurant, we all left feeling happy, full and incredibly lucky to have felt such a gem of a place to eat. Can’t recommend this place enough 😊

Booked a few weeks before arriving for a week in Penzance. The welcome on arrival was warm and friendly, our table was on the ground floor and lacked anything memorable with no view - internal or external, bit close to the kitchen door for my liking and ultimately a bit disappointing as could have been any room in any restaurant in the country. The set price menu was an excellent idea, the options complimented each other and were well thought out. Overall the food was good and the service was efficient and polite. The ground floor space lacked imagination and so didn’t add any feeling of occasion which would have helped justify the, not insignificant, cost. We won’t go again even though the food was good.
