This place had an amazing cover to their menus and bill, the whole restaurant had an incredible design PLUS the food was really tasty. As someone who loves spice it was a tad bit disappointing but other than that it was delicious!
The service was really nice, the lady servicing us was checking up on us and gave my younger siblings a bowl of jellybeans!
Some meals I'd recommend are definitely the red curry!! If you are a kid or someone who isn't really into thai there are prawn options which were inducible, I did not get them on camera.
Really amazing food. The massaman curry was perfect. Had the coconut steamed rice to add to the flavour. With fish cake to start. A perfect meal.
Been visiting for years and it's still very good food. Sadly they no longer serve Thai prawn crackers, and have switched to Chinese ones. Takes a while for a takeaway, but tasty food! Massaman and the dish formally known as Khao Phat are my favourites.
Restaurant staff were kind enough to let us eat in even though we had arrived just before closing.
Food was hot, delicious and served quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended
Grabbed a cheeky takeaway from here, absolutely lovely Massaman curry with tofu! Lots more vegan options available that just that too! They took note of my egg allergy in the kitchen which is much appreciated.
I walked in to order, was told it would be ten minutes. So I took a little walk to the seafront and back and it was there waiting for me. Ideal!
Delicious green curry, pad Thai, chicken toast and spring rolls. Speedy and attentive service. Lovely atmosphere. No alcohol served but you can bring a bottle in for a small corkage charge. We will go here again.
Lovely Thai restaurant with friendly staff. Food was served fast and tasted amazing.
Decent price range in a tourist area!
After half a day in Land's End and its less than inspiring food outlets, we wanted to take an interlude before the fireworks display at 10pm.
We are seasoned Thai food lovers, but this is our first time in Penzance, and first time at Sukothai. They were packed crazy at 6pm and there was a 40min wait. Decided to take a chance as we had ample time.
Fortunately, when it came to their food, we found it authentically mouthwatering, one of the best we have tasted.
All dishes ordered -- pad thai, red curry, massaman curry, were good but the stand out one has to be the seafood prawn and squid curry.
Well worth the wait, prices are decent, and their flavours exceeded our expectations.
Booked a table for 4. Good food, nice decor restaurant. It is bring your own alcohol which is ok as I took my own wine from the local Tesco express. The restaurant appeared to be clean and fairly priced. The table service was a bit poor as the young boy serving brought each item out one at time and felt like forever for everyone to get their meal. He also forgot to bring out the rice for all the curries. I get the impression he’s new and still learning the job. Other than the table service it’s worth a visit.
Loved every minute of being there. The food and staff were amazing. It was good to practice my Thai having lived in Thailand for over 2 decades. Definitely will go back again for another excellent night.
