Holy Smoke Steak & Grill House

Look, here's the thing about Grill'd; they have been accused of a lot of silly corporate behavior but either that is well and truly behind them (lesson learned?) or it was all a media beat-up in the first place. For my part I have never, ever had a bad experience here and the staff appear to actually like their work at Grill'd - and this would be hard if to he company didn't care about everyone. They really seem to care. For me that matters a good deal.

I had the Mary's little lamb burger in a panini bun. It was delicious!! A bit on the small side but the ingredients made up for its size, very fresh and very tasty. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the service was great. The place does have a real grubby feel though and the toilets are in need of a renovation. If the owner thinks the toilets are acceptable I have to wonder what they think is acceptable in the rest of the place. ie the kitchen...🤔🥴

Disappointing. Food was usual consistent self but the at tables online ordering is a joke. Waited ages for the food which is ok when it’s busy but the drinks arrived after the food. That meant we didn’t have time to drink it before we had to go. Hard to get your money back when you have paid online. Bypass the online do it the old fashioned way. Bad experience.

Ordered sweet potatoes and what I received for nearly $6 (includes surcharge) was ridiculous. There was 8 chips for $6 I could have bought around 4 whole sweet potatoes for that amount. So sick of places ripping customers off. Burger whilst also expensive was very nice but come on stop ripping people off on chips of all things.

Nice decor, pleasant staff and same standards as other Grill'd I've been to. It's a chain so don't be expecting too much but it's a pretty good burger place. Tried the Beyond burger (plant-based "meat" patty) - kind of like the Impossible burger I guess. It's okay but still did not taste like meat and it was a bit oily. Won't be getting that again but Grill'd is still a pretty good chain
