Had the pleasure of attending my nephews wedding at this venue and it was an excellent day made very special by the staff and management would highly recommend The Half Moon, if you are looking for an all inclusive wedding event with ceremony and reception also the food served was delicious .

Nice cosy, friendly pub. With very good food and good portion sizes. Decent size garden and a good play area for the kids. Although it has a good size car park, some spaces are a little tight, and fills up quickly if the pub is busy, so get there early.

Recently broke down in the car park of the half moon. The owner and staff went above and behind helping myself get the work van up and running.
Will definitely be having a meal here as if the food and service is half as good at what I witnessed the other day then its 5⭐️ from myself and the 5 other guys with extra needs in van with me. Many thanks Colin 😊

Could not speak more highly of Andy and his team in the way were served, the quality of the food, the choice of drinks and the fabulous breakfast the next day after a very good night's sleep. Strongly recommend you visit and would go back at the drop of a hat when in the area.

I was here for a party and I was super impressed with the place. It was bright, clean, it had decent baby changing facilities and accessible toilets.
The staff are all super friendly and welcoming.
The best thing about this pub is THE FOOD. They provided a hot buffet and it was really good quality - not like the usual cheap beige party food this was recognisable food. Fantastic!

In the area on holiday stopped for a drink. Staff were lovely, great beer garden and good selection if beers. Only minor drawback was the main road which was slightly noisy when on the garden.

My Husband and I on the 15th April had our wedding at the half moon.
We got married in a church and then had the half moon as the reception venue.. Both my Husband and I were incredibly pleased and we were so lucky to have had the most fabulous/best/wonderful day. Staff were helpful, polite, friendly and professional throughout. They were prompt with everything - for example.. The sit down meal seemed effortless, smooth and calm and not chaotic (if it was chaotic or problematic they never let it show to us or our guests) and they seemed to work with our routine/plan to do everything like when we went outside for our photos the tables were then moved ready for the DJ/ evening without any guest being bothered or it effecting us.. making it a nice calm, happy feel.
I felt throughout all of the meetings and discussions throughout the year of planning that they really listened to our thoughts/ ideas/ concerns and answered any questions. I have to say we were really lucky that the weather was fantastic so we were all able to enjoy the outdoors area as well.
The food was lovely and the atmosphere was great. We also had the hog roast in the evening and I'm still getting people comment how much they liked it and how they loved the whole day in general. I would definitely recommend and go back there again for any other event or party.

We stayed here last night and left this morning well fed, refreshed and happy. A lovely clean and well kept pub and rooms. All of the staff genuinely happy to help, very dog friendly. A perfect pint of peroni. Thank you for making our stay a happy relaxing experience 😁

Had a lovely lunch at the pub yesterday. We were made to feel welcome the minute we arrived & this continued throughout our time there.
Special thanks to the lady who welcomed us & to Andy who made a real fuss of our dogs & who has a lovely manner & is very thoughtful.
The three of us had the veggie roast & it was delicious. The cappuccinos were really good too.
