Lovely local country pub. We really enjoyed our Sunday carvery with all the family. Nice choice of meats and a good selection of sides. X

Another carvery at the Farqy, and just brilliant as usual. I washed it down with probably the best pint of Tanglefoot you will find in Dorset. Landlord Neville has a passion for caring for his beer which means a great pint is guaranteed, while Lesley and her team produce the excellent food already mentioned. No better way to spend a Sunday lunchtime.

I enjoyed a very good meal here with my mother (both vegetarian dishes - three bean chili and the spinach pancakes). Very welcoming atmosphere from the publican and customers alike. Good clean facilities. Despite the obvious disadvantage of being tied to Hall & Woodhouse, the Badger Best was in good and crystal clear condition, showing that this publican despite the adversity of his tied situation; is a true practitioner of his trade with good cellarmanship skills and clean lines to boot. Very impressed. Will be happy to return. Thanks for the wonderful afternoon.

If you take your time to assess the Farquharson Arms you'll soon understand that this is a very traditional pub with a warm and cosy welcome for everyone that visits. It is often very difficult to find a pub that offers everything that a pub should have, instead of feeling orchestrated in some of the more modern pubs that just want your money rather than your custom. Quite the opposite here in this village pub with very friendly staff. The food here is reasonably priced and their carvery is excellent in both taste and value. It's a welcoming sign when you can ask for a variation of your food choice and it's accommodated without question. It was very likely that we were going to be late for our booking, but the staff offered to keep some food back for us, just in case - now that's great service. I was impressed with the Farquharson Arms. It's pubs like these that need to retain their individual style and charisma.

Friendly, welcoming pub. The beers are always in a superb condition and the Sunday Roast is the best. Wish we could come here more often!

Highly recommended: Amazing pub and restaurant. Food was excellent, friendly staff and local punters. My son left his jumper and they kindly rang me to let me know it was there.

Stopped off here for lunch on the way to the coast. Obviously very popular with the locals and a steady flow of visitors also. We found it by chance but would highly recommend it based on our experience. Very friendly staff, very good lunch menu with plenty of choice, a pleasant atmosphere and good food.

Hosted a 60th Birthday Party for my other half on Easter Saturday, (21 guests), all remarked on the excellent food (a full roast dinner and desserts), service and atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend paying it a visit.

Friendly welcome, good food, good cider and good music. The resident dog, Sophie, has some outstanding ball retreival skills. This all adds up to make the Farquharson Arms one of the very best in the area.
