Food was great. Elenor looked after us all (10 guys) with a smile. All staff were lovely. Nice atmosphere. Proper country pub. Looked after our guy in the wheelchair as well.

Compared to a lot of pubs in the area this really stands out. The food is excellent all round with a lot of care put into it. Our food came exceptionally quickly for how well made it is. The service is really pretty incredible, very attentive and polite. Price wise it’s not bad at all, there are spots nearby that are noticeably more expensive for a lesser experience.
Atmosphere is nice, was especially good to have a fire going.
Highly recommend

What can I say about this place the food was amazing and came out very quick we only waited for about 5-10 minutes! the staff were so attentive to all our needs ensured we were satisfied and always came over with smiles. Elenor, Chloe, maddie and the manager Jamie were all so amazing and kind they were absolutely incredible!! The atmosphere was great the staff were enthusiastic and all enjoying themselves the people around were also enjoying themselves and seemed to have a laugh I would definitely come back again!

We love the Royal Oak. It's a lovely old pub with classic country pub food. The service was great - we were served by a very pleasant member of staff.
The sharer starter of Camembert with fried chicken, garlic mushrooms, garlic bread and onion rings is a great hybrid of starters. It was delicious!
The food came swiftly and was fresh and hot. The only odd thing was that we wanted to order our sharing starter while we were still choosing mains but we're told that it all had to be ordered at the same time or it would confuse the kitchen.
However, that small thing was not enough to change the fact that it's our favourite pub to eat at in the area. We will be back.

We were a party of 4 adults and had a lovely experience. Eleanor was our cheerful delightful server who could not do enough for us. The food was served hot and tasty but have marked it down one star because my mushrooms on my starter were slightly over done. Otherwise a lovely Country pub experience.

Great food, super atmosphere. Staff are so friendly, especially Laura who didn’t bat an eyelid when a group of us turned up without a booking. We’ll 100% be back for our eldest son’s bday.

one of the better pubs in a chain
friendly service typical pub grub reasonably priced. Fillet steak excellent value. all round a pleasant experience. chloe was very helpful and efficient and it is for me the level of customer service that brings you back to certain venues as opposed to many similar establishments.

We went for the Sunday roast. Both of us going for the trio. All cooked to perfection, generous servings and good value for money. Really lovely cosy pub with lots of character and the staff were so so friendly. 100% recommend.

It's older style pub grub so expectations are not sky high. Having said that the food was fine, service was with a smile and everything came together nicely. The pub was virtually full for a Tuesday evening which was encouraging. Mind you poor weather meant that folk were inside rather than using the quite extensive outdoor area.
Food wise the three of us were happy with our meals. The chicken and ham hock pie came with plated veg which was rather dried out. It must have been sitting around for a while! Gravy was so thick that it wouldn't pour easily. The pie was good though and chips freshly cooked. Still, we got by and we had a good evening. A large wine at nearly £10/glass was a little eyebrow raising especially as the same had been had at another establishment the week before for nearer £6. Would I go again, yes of course.
