Perfect 5 star for me. Staff welcoming and engaging. Food presentation so fancy and equally tasty. Time efficiency is impeccable without being intrusive with customers having control with the service device that is provided on every table. You are given a choice to sit anywhere, reserved tables excluded. Men’s toilet is quirky fun located a floor below road level next to the women’s. The is a disabled toilet on the dining area level. Menu is extensive and so is the pudding section. My favourite is Julia’s cheesecake with fruit topping and sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce given in generous serves. The King dish of them all was the king ribs with sticky sauce. Impressive king size serve I had to take half of it home. It is the best one I have had so far. I was here about 3 years ago and believe me I came back because I remember how good the food was then.

This is a great place to eat. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The staff were efficient, pleasant and friendly. The Inn is beautifully decorated with small room eating areas that provided a relaxed atmosphere. This was my first visit, with a large group after being at Pitlochry Theatre in the afternoon and I would not hesitate to go back if I visited the area again. Thoroughly recommended.

Best pub food amongst its league. Food is fresh and more than well cooked, also extremely reasonably priced. Definitely recommend the fish & chips and the beef stew!

Excellent food & service. A very well renovated inn, with plenty of character and family friendly, without lots of noise or mayhem. Would definitely come again.

Bright, clean and welcoming appearance. Good parking
Lovely, attentive staff. I liked the technological way of being able to summon staff and call for the bill. Food hot, excellently presented and excellent value. The venue deserves its high rating. Well done!

The Inn is excellent. The service method is different, but actually it is very refreshing. The food was excellent, the steak was perfectly cooked. If you are near, I suggest you try.

Trust me: you want to go. Grade: A-

Not many places will get me to go back two nights in a row for dinner. The staff, the atmosphere, and the food at Logierait Inn, though, had me returning without a second thought.

There wasn’t much info on the restaurant that was readily available. They don’t have a web site and their menu isn’t posted, but the comments I did find were compelling. And they weren’t wrong.

Logierait Inn has a very comfortable, dining room/living room feel to it. Although an old building, the restorations of a couple of years ago make it feel fresh, clean, and very homey. Simply being there made me happy. But then there’s the food.

Our group tried a number of dishes over the two evenings. A core menu changes with a new main course here or there either daily or whenever a new ingredient comes along (see the samples). Everything we tasted was cooked by somebody who knew how to prepare food.

The smoked salmon appetizer was vibrant and smooth. Haggis and black pudding with a whole grain mustard sauce is not an everyday dish oustide Scoltand, but these pungent tastes work beautifully with each other. Chicken liver pate with oatcakes and tomato chutney was another excellent starter, with flavors that balanced the richness of the liver. The grilled goat cheese and mushroom salad was also excellent.

The first evening, two of our group tried the pot roasted Scotch beef with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce. This was the best rendition of a Sunday lunch or dinner that you could hope to have in a restaurant. Pork sausages with creamy mash – “bangers and mash” – were enhanced by an amazing caramelized onion gravy that made the whole dish another upscale take on homemade comfort food.

The poached salmon harmonized well in its creamy white wine, lemon and chive sauce. You could taste the fresh greens in the spinach and ricotta ravioli with mushroom sauce, although the whole could have used a bit more intensity of flavor.

What makes all of this even better are the prices. Most of the starters were £4-£6, and most of the mains are £10-£12. Phenomenal food for the money.

You’d be best off calling for a reservation during prime dinner times – the tables fill up quickly – and they are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

I loved Logierait Inn. Just wish I could’ve gone back a third evening.
