Called in for a quick drink at this lovely pub in a beautiful village.
A great selection of beer, lager cider and spirits to suit everyone’s taste and the prices were more than reasonable.
The Guinness……could this be the best pint of Guinness in Essex?
A great pint of Guinness, served in a new style clean glass using a two part pour method; a very creamy pint indeed.
The only tap available was extra cold but it was needed on this warm late summer afternoon.

Only just re-opened, no food available yet at time of writing. But if is anything like.the atmosphere and service I'm sure it will be wonderful! Spacious garden and cozy interior. Lovely staff to boot.
Maybe should have kept the sware jar above the fireplace though for the obvious jokes.
