Had a family meal here to celebrate my grandmother's 94th birthday, all our meals were lovely, tasty & hot. Gave staff a birthday cake which they brought out to her singing happy birthday, which made her day, would recommend the steak & omelete never had a bad meal.
Food is always absolutely perfect, and trust the staff to tell you which cut should be cooked which way as they nail it every time!! Service is always perfect and they're all personable and lovely. The food is absolutely astonishing!! One point less for atmosphere only due to a group of "lads" who were incredibly drunk on our last visit on 21/10/23 who you could smell from our table. Normally this isn't the case and the staff handled them very well considering they got incredibly rowdy by the end of their visit and asked to leave. The atmosphere is normally as incredible as the rest! 10/10 every time!
Re visiting an old friend. Best steak in town. Cooked to perfection. Friendly staff. Will be back soon. Definitely worth a visit. Booking essential.
I’ve often walked by this place and thought the concept of steak and omelette sounded a bit strange. However, I discovered a quality of meat that I’ve not tasted for years. The steaks and burgers were like no other I’ve tasted. I consider myself a connoisseur of burgers and these were superb, mainly because of the quality of the beef. I understand it is old school family run and it shows. Great service, no long waits and obviously enjoyed by many others. Although fairly busy we were treated as family. Not the cheapest but if you’re looking for the ultimate steak, this is the place.
I am visiting from the United States and I’ve been here about 3 months now, and I’ve been searching for a close to home steakhouse. Steakhouses do not seem to be as big here as the U.S. but this place exceeded all expectations. Having eaten at the Marco Pierre White a few times inside the Crown Plaza, Steak & Omelette is far beyond in terms of quality and pricing. Just the sear alone on my steak that makes a crunch noise when I ran my knife across it spoke for itself. Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. If you are looking for a steak or a nice restaurant in general this place is arguably the best in Plymouth.
My absolute favourite place to eat in Plymouth. Food is amazing, service is excellent and the atmosphere is always great, be it busy or quiet. I recommend trying everything you can and if you like steak cooked to perfection, don't bother with miller and carter... They pale into insignificance when compared to the mighty Steak & Omelette. I have been eating here for the last 30 years and will continue to enjoy their food for as long as I can.
Turned up at a very quiet point on a Wednesday, only customers in there at there. Atmosphere was well lit and warm, felt incredible in the booth. Staff was extremely friendly and very great at the job, food took proper time to come out, not too quickly so you'd think it was bad and not too long where you'd be concerned, was spot on timing. We ordered 2 steaks and they were absolutely phenomenal, protein was cooked perfectly as we requested and perfectly seasoned, the sides were very nicely done, not a single bit was left on our plates. Desert was fantastic too and very lovely. Our entire experience in this place was absolute perfection, gave our compliments to the chef who was delighted, perfect way to spend our 2 year anniversary, made the night perfect. Thank you so much, can't wait to come back! (Also very reasonably priced for the quality!)
Visited with my Daughter. She had a tasty Ham Omelette and I went for the 32oz Tomahawk. Very nice steak cooked Medium. Chips were also just the way we like them. Nice to be able to see the cuts of meat on display before choosing and nice old school touch with a dessert cabinet.
Just came here with my family, first time me having a steak. Service and food was amazing. Waiter was really friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be coming back and worth the money.
Well! Firstly the service was second to none! They couldn't do enough for you & smiles all round! The food is incredible our first time trying it tonight and it did not disappoint
The chef was super relaxed and smiling all the way through the service while still managing to make the most melt in my mouth steak ove ever had!
