The best coffee shop in plymouth best food best place
I am so glad i discovered this wonderful place takes me right to the heart of Portugal once I step in here fantastic food and am addicted to the custard tarts lol would thoroughly recommend i feel i am amongst friends in here
Went to Plymouth as a work trip, and was looking for Portuguese food to win brownie points with my Portuguese girlfriend.
Went here on the recommendation of colleagues and wasn't disappointed, the place is authentic Portuguese and the staff are very hospitable.
I ended up visiting this place 3 times. I tried the Rissois, and can't explain to you how good the meat ones were.
Next i tried the chirrausco- peri peri chicken and chorizo. Loved this dish, was typical authentic Portuguese with the fried egg, rice and fries.
Finally i tried the Francesinho sandwich. I can't explain to you how much you need to try this. This is meat heaven and will open your mind to a new dish. Melted cheese over white bread with different types of meat in a tomato beer sauce. Its definitely heavy but worth a try, like once a year so you don't end up with a heart attack sooner.
We drove 37 miles purpose just to go there. We went today for the first time. Lovely people, amazing food, and a lovely atmosphere as well. For sure we will be back. Obrigada :)

Awesome and authentic Portuguese food, Pedro & Elsa are very warm hosts. Been here countless times and never been disappointed. Their Portuguese produce they sell is reasonably priced & have a wide range. We sometimes have a coffee to finish off our meal & it’s definitely worth the extra bit of cash… love to support local businesses.
Great local business run by wonderful people. Very authentic Portuguese dishes with fresh ingredients and nice charcoal grill. This is one of the very rare places that offers gorgeous seafood dish and as a Japanese, it's so precious! Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Owners couple are always fun, warm, hardworking and pleasant. Never had any disappointment and I always come back to enjoy special moment.
During the first lockdown, they did coffee takeaway. I love their custard and cinnamon roll😍
Always love passing and popping in for the best espresso ,cold draught lager and chicken was so tasty today and omg I've had the black pudding with pineapple on top delicious !!! Atmosphere really chill and always feel welcome here just such a warming family vibe thank you 😊
Amazing and authentic spot . The service was brilliant , they promised to be speedy as we were in a rush and delivered ! The chef took time to speak with us and served our food within 15 minutes of being seated . Seeing the open kitchen was great and the range of Portuguese products on sale was interesting to browse . Will definitely be back !
Unique venue with a unique decoration. Expect a Portuguese wooden country theme. On arrival we weren’t greeted but sat ourselves to a table as the venue was very quiet.
I had a chicken based dish and two sides, it was cooked to perfection and the portion was perfect. Everyone loved the food and I’d return again.
Be careful of ordering wine, the house red is £14 and increases to ££££.
Three mains, olives, calamari, and a bottle of red/ two martinis = just under £90
Very good food and nice atmosphere. I was in the back which was quite quiet, and seemed to be a lot of regulars. There was about a 45-50 minute wait for the starter but the main came quite quickly after. I would visit again although may eat a snack before.
It made me feel like I was back in Portugal. A family environment, very helpul and efficient. The food was great. A place to definitely revisit.
Really great restaurant. Came to Plymouth for a break and wanted some real Portuguese food as my wife is Portuguese and we haven't been there for a while due to COVID-19. Fantastic food, great restaurant with real authentic atmosphere, staff very friendly and great reminder of Portugal.
