Great food, & a great local pub. Fantastic music over various weekends. Loved watching the Diggurs there too many times. Great pub for Morris sides too. All round, family friendly good pub!
Well. This little country pub has such a warm appeal as soon as you enter through the door....oh...watch your head...low beams and ceilings. Pub staff always friendly. Great ale, lager or cider on tap. Dart board. Quiz night on Sundays and a nice place just to sit and chat with freinds.
Great pub with an excellent Sunday roast, live music and a pub quiz! Only moved onto the area recently and seen a few negative reviews on here, but they must have breathed new life into the “oldest pub in Plymouth”. Highly recommended
One of the oldest pubs around Plymouth, in a lovely village. Well worth a visit if your in the area.
Good quiet old fashioned type of pub, nice selection of beers, outside beer garden, dogs allowed and occasional live music.
For a Monday evening it was lovely, a lovely oldie worldie pub with a lovely atmospheres is a the landlord was very welcoming, had a chat with two customers about did and then with the landlord about completing toilets and canal life . He wanted to shut early as we were the only ones there, which suited us, the dogs loved the walk across the steam and into the meadow, we emptied the toilet and moved on. We will be back
Friendly staff, beer garden in a sheltered yard and cosy nooks with log fires in the winter. Free jukebox.
Watching live music outside in the sun good atmosphere lovely food
Nice beer and company on a Friday lunchtime. Food now being served. Sunday lunch not to be missed but you need to book
Stayed overnight in the motorhome as a Britstop. Really helpful and friendly landlord. Great beer. Monday night so the kitchen was closed but he suggested another local pub and a takeaway. Great dog walks from the pub. Will definitely stop again.
Lovely setting and nice old building. Good beers on offer. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the local louts in the beer garden and their vile language. Would return but not with family.
Great selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
Cosy warm fire
Old wooden beams
Old pub feel

Allows dogs
