Great pub with an excellent Sunday roast, live music and a pub quiz! Only moved onto the area recently and seen a few negative reviews on here, but they must have breathed new life into the “oldest pub in Plymouth”. Highly recommended
One of the oldest pubs around Plymouth, in a lovely village. Well worth a visit if your in the area.
Good quiet old fashioned type of pub, nice selection of beers, outside beer garden, dogs allowed and occasional live music.
For a Monday evening it was lovely, a lovely oldie worldie pub with a lovely atmospheres is a the landlord was very welcoming, had a chat with two customers about did and then with the landlord about completing toilets and canal life . He wanted to shut early as we were the only ones there, which su

Stayed overnight in the motorhome as a Britstop. Really helpful and friendly landlord. Great beer. Monday night so the kitchen was closed but he suggested another local pub and a takeaway. Great dog walks from the pub. Will definitely stop again.
Lovely setting and nice old building. Good beers on offer. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the local louts in the beer garden and their vile language. Would return but not with family.
Great selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Cosy warm fire Old wooden beams Old pub feel Offers food Allows dogs Music and quizzes It tickets everything you want from a village pub.

When it arrived I could instantly tell the batter on the fish was very good, plus the size of the cod was also a good size. Sisters friends ordered various things from the menu and they were not disap
Good atmosphere in here, and it isn't going to break the bank. Only reason I gave the place 4 stars is due to the food. It is what you would expect from a little pub down the road. I feel it is mostly microwaved, this is fine if your wanting some quick grub, but the menu can be limited and it doesn
A friendly, welcoming place. Log burner in lounge and open log fires, A good selection of draught ales with guest beers. There is also a wide selection of gins available. The food menu is a typical village selection with a few extra options, all very well presented and plenty of it, , a very good va
Food excellent. Staff very friendly.
Great pub, so friendly. Decent beer, good quiz night. Just needs a bit of a spruce up to make it a 5 star!!!
Classic old pub with great food. Low ceilings and log burners give it a cosy feeling. One of the best roast dinners I have when eating out. Highly recommend it.
