Great pub atmosphere with a lovely garden area. Family friendly and nice freshly cooked food.

The Black Bull is a nice traditional pub. There is a good selection of beers, lager and cider, including two cask conditioned hand pulled, real ales farmers blonde and doom bar. There are three rooms and an outside seating area at the back. The beer was excellent, and the food menu looked very tempting, although we didn't try the food on our visit. It's a dog friendly pub.

Before I first walked in properly into they Black Bull, one of the bar ladies, I noticed, was watching me enter into they drinking place, but still, I had entered in there.
I walked in, too, met with 3 others in the bar at they time and I believe they were planning on ordering food, so I had gone through mu options in the menu for myself and I was sent to they Bar. I ordered any drinks and food at the time, so non alcoholic and a Heineken. I had 2 of those and had waited for it to arrive.
Whilst I was drinking and chatting and waiting for food they Bar lady at they time there appeared to be watching our table quite a lot more, but we carried on waiting and chatting.
And then our food arrived she had picked up on they fact that they food you will eat on they plate will be hot and mentioned it to myself, which in a way I do get a lot from many places I eat in.
And then we were eating, and at the time, we were discussing radiators in properties and Gas and electric utility bills, and they bar lady did approach our table and believed we were still on they subjects of hot plates or hot food items but I mentioned no just Radiators.

Excellent service the staff were very friendly giving our dog treats etc, the food was the best we’ve tasted and excellent value for money ,would definitely go back again ,

Good food fish and chips well cooked and tasty. Meat pie and peas and runner beans and mashed potatoe again great and to finish it all off two lovely large cups of coffee and two hot milks.
Would definitely go again.

Found this place by accident....we will be back soon. Excellent steak and chips plus an amazing choc/ orange desert. Great British pub atmosphere 👌

Popped in today as we're staying close by on holiday, weren't sure where to go but glad we came in here. Food was excellent, drinks were good and the staff were very friendly. Proper good traditional pub
