Went for quiz night as a non regular and was very welcomed by all staff. Furry friends are welcomed as well which was added bonus. Good atmosphere.

Been today with the family, we sat outside where there is a lovely area for the children, we got kids meals and 2 burgers for the adults. Some really good vegan options aswel. Lovely and Polite staff would definitely recommend.

This was the pub closest to the middle for me and my brothers for a little meet up and it was lovely. Great food, friendly service (thanks Kiera and Jules!) and a lovely pub! See you again!

Food was all excellent, the staff were very friendly and really looked after us. We are not local but have visited several times over the years and our experience has always been positive.

Love this place!
Staff are approachable and polite. Pub really geared towards our 4 legged friends. A real anchor of the community with clear signage of events and promotions. Really good food, hot and tasty. Pub very clean. Bonus basket in ladies bathroom is a really nice touch and thoughtful ❤️

The food is fantastic, prices are very reasonable. Dog friendly too. The only slight minor fault would be service is on the slow side, they are very polite but maybe more staff on would be better

1st time here, was ok but unfortunately whilst we were having our meal
2 loud mouthed guy s couldn't put a sentence together without foul language, yes I know it's a pub but it was just a bit much , we will visit again as the beer was perfect

It's mid afternoon when I call so not sure what it's like at other times.
Staff are friendly and the food is generally good (but not had the katsu curry available on a couple of occasions).
The pub is dog friendly, which is one of the reasons why I like it, and treats are sometimes available for your pet.
A selection of hand pulled ales as well as some craft beers and the usual fair of lagers are also available.
Outside is a large spacious area with a large screen, which I presume shows sport at the weekends and other major events.

Had a fantastic night at The Caleton pub at their first ever Pride Event!! What an amazing atmosphere, great crowd, really friendly and the food was really tasty!! Brilliant venue, will definitely be returning! Staff are wonderful!

Great pub, great staff and great atmosphere. I had to work from here recently and was impressed at the choice or food and drink and the friendliness of the staff. They helped me find a spot out of the way so I could get on with work whilst at the same time made me feel incredibly welcome.

Called in for lunch tried a pensioner's lunch offer incredible value 2 courses for £6.99 it was 3 courses for £7.99
I had fish and chips with crumble and custard and my wife had hunter's chicken and a brownie with cream the food was very good and the staff were super friendly . We will definitely call again

It’s a fun, well run establishment, Quiz nights twice a week with The QUIZ Master, monthly Dog walks, regular fundraising for MacMillan and Pontefract Dog Rescue, having there first Pride of Ponte 🌈 event this year, they are constantly thinking of ‘what to do next’, they are a friendly, very hard working team that sadly have to deal with undesirables that disrespect them and the building and grounds, keep it up, you’re all awesome!. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The ideal place to stop after we diverted off the A1 to avoid roadworks. Great range of food for special diets and an absolute haven for dogs!

Julie answered the phone when I called today to see if I’d need to book a table at noon. She was very welcoming and said probably not (but did) When we arrived (with dogs) Julie literally gave us VIP treatment. The food was great - but Julie’s smile was even better. Greene King should put her in charge of staff training. Really great visit!!!

Staff couldn't have been more helpful especially keira after my food arrived and I had been given the vegan burger instead of the vegetarian option(be aware no mayonnaise or onion rings come with the vegan option and you recieve a sesame seeded bun).They couldn't have apologised enough and me and my husband got complimentary drinks.The meal ended with a FANTASTIC sundae and it was really reasonably priced. The whole atmosphere of the place is friendly and helpful,if you want to sit outside you have to order using the Greene King app but you can get table service inside.The pub caters really well for sports fans and has all the England euro football showing.All in all a great place to visit if your near Pontefract!!!!

A very pleasant and lively place.
We called in for lunch (on route home from a visit to friends)
The locals were watching the Rugby and were quite excitable, so the staff pleasantly suggested where we could sit, where it would be a little quieter for us.
I had a Sunday roast, there was loads on my plate and very tasty.
My husband had a Pizza (freshly made) which he enjoyed.
The price was very reasonable, the place was clean and had a good atmosphere, and the staff were very pleasant.
We would certainly go there again.
