The Broken Bridge

Clean, tidy, a bit 1990’s flashback to old Rovers Return in a way, to which suits the area completely fine, in my visit to Pontefract. I’ve learnt I must speak slower, as my broad Sheffield de Dar accent / Mancs (dialect) does not translate greatly across to the locals. Well having sustained a hand injury, ( argument with a dodgy patio door last weekend) 😂. I’m taking a break from been the director of DT Fire and Security for now. Traveling the Country. Places I haven’t been and seen. So this place the first I’ve come to, Well, I’ll give it top marks. Just a few little bits. The Chicken Gravy is Rather Banging when requested hot and fresh, I couldn’t eat my meal without fresh Wetherspoons chicken Graaayvaaay. 😎 It could do with a minor refurb as it’s a bit well worn this place, re-varnish the woodwork 👩🏼‍🍳 The bread and butter was spot on. Made a bacon & black pudding sarnie then dipped it in Fresh Graaaaayvaaay. That item should go On the menu. I did enjoy it. 😁 The dining area staff do a good job. Toilets spotless. Old uns happy. Go to the broken bridge a few days a week after work ! The staff are great so friendly. The land lady Joanne is amazing always smiling and makes effort to chat and welcome you . What she's done to turn the pub round is amazing too (how it was 15 months ago ) it 100% and more better than it was . Joanna is one of the most friendly, caring landladys I know .

I like it, probably one of the best spoons I've been to. Staff are always really friendly, food is always quickly made, tastes really nice especially for the prices, me and my wife have come a fair few times now, we really like it. Ps they make a decent beer shandy, I drive so no choice lol. Place is clean, toilets are clean, as I said before been to alot of wetherspoons and this one is the best in my opinion.

Needed a place to chill out and wait for an appointment and just happened to be passing so nipped in for lunch. Ordering with the app was easy and the food/drink arrived quickly. All I ordered was a small pizza and a soft drink and for a fiver you can't complain at all. Can't find any faults, even the WiFi was decent. The pub was tidy and clean. I used the loo before I left and it was equally clean.
