We discovered this place while passing through town. It is a fascinating local Coffee House in the middle of Wales in Pontypool. It is tenderly embracing local culture and traditions as well as tastefully blending them with a slight twist of Russian cuisine, which is very touching especially because Pontypool is situated just two miles down the road from a town called Sebastopol, named after a Russian city. Russian lady owner was very welcoming and served her local customers as well as us with affectional attention and care. The Café was elegantly decorated with some Russian memorabilia and nonetheless somehow it did not feel imposing, but fit very well with the local traditional style. As any coffee house, it would serve a wide variety of coffee as well as tea and delicious home-made cakes. Overall, we were thrilled by the experience of this café and its hospitable and very friendly owner.
Never knew this little diamond was there. Popped in for a sandwich and was greeted by a lovely lady. Very tasty sausage & bacon sandwich.. Will visit again
