I visited The Brown Trout on a whim whilst passing through. I wasn't disappointed. The landlady is lovely, and I spoke with a lot of the locals who made me feel very welcome. The food was great and good value. I'll try to get back here when I can!
Honestly couldn't ask for a better reception. Booked a hall for partners b day absolutely Brill . Even at short notice they fit us in . Cheap as chips to book the room upstairs held 50 60 people easy . Well worth what we paid for it . Even went along with our plan to surprise my partner . Couldn't

Came for food and a few drink. Shared a huge 32 oz tomahawk with my partner, which was superb. Drinks were great. Service was fantastic and the pub is very well cared for. Will definitely be revisiting some time soon.
Visited the Brown Trout after a friend said the steaks there are out of this world. So I did what any sensible person would do and booked a table for two. Pub is easy to find and a nice covered seating area was at hand. Staff were very friendly and attentive and looked after us both. I had the 32oz

Went for a Valentine's meal. Food was beautifully presented and was stunning. I had the prawns to start and could easily have had them as main. Then came the main, wow! Delicious fillet steak cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit.
Went with family. Superb Fish and Chips and a welcoming and friendly environment. The kids' meals were all hearty and well sized. Would come again.
The staff were lovely, smiley and very welcoming and the Sunday roast was delicious. I had the beef which was delicious and tender also a good selection of beers on tap. Thanks guys, will be returning on a weekday to try that menu out.
First time visiting pub, large family gathering all food was preordered. Very impressed with how quickly brought out all meals and altogether and not one of us had any complaints. Lovely meals and friendly attentive staff. :)

Went on 18/6/21 to celebrate with my family, parents any grandmother. Birthdays, GCSe and a level results. Wonderful friendly atmosphere, the team there went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. We had steaks and I have to say the
