We would rate The Guildhall as the best seafood restaurant in Dorset. Food is exceptional! Service is exceptional. Lovely, attentive staff. The atmosphere has a great buzz! It is usually full of regular customers, which is recommendation in itself 🦀🐟🦑🍽.
My absolute favourite restaurant. Such friendly helpful cheerful staff, fabulous menu, I can never make up my mind what to have.. Beautifully presented and delicious food. We sat outside on this hot and sunny day under the huge awning. Highly recommend for food, ambiance and great service. Looking forward to my next visit already. Thank you.
A very nice place to eat or relax.
I had a Proper Job for £6.60. Quite expensive, but in excellent condition.
Will return and try the food.
Fish menu looked impressive.
Tasty Food, correct service. The Scallops were very good. You should double check the bill, was charged for the Full Lobster while I ordered Half. The staff was able to sort it out after.
Elegant and stylish restaurant, the staff is very professional and friendly. All dishes were succulent and well presented. Very fresh ingredients, deliciously well combined and the finest selection of wine, enhanced the whole meal. One of the best fine dining experience I've ever had. Excellent overall, we will definitely come back again!
Had 2 tempura fried prawns and 28 day aged sirloin steak and my kid had a fish all were excellent The steak arrived as requested medium rare with peppercorn sauce which was lovely but meat was done so well I struggled to use the sauce.the chips seemed to be triple fried very crunchy outside and melty inside. I would work on salad as came very basic like salad mix from Tesco bag with vinegrette sauce (this part really didn't match the quality of the rest dish). The 2 ladies from staff were very nice and very professional.
Most excellent food, full of flavour, textures and colours. The sauce that came with scallops was amazing, and the scallops themselves were juicy and bursting with flavour. Whitebait and its sauce were the best combination I have ever tried. The fish soup was sooo good and the piece of bread with sesame seeds that came with it was amazing (we asked for the second one). The chocolate fondant dessert with honey ice-cream was a delicious "cherry" on top. Thank you for a very friendly and quick service!
Fantastic evening out with incredible food, wine and service! While it is certainly quite pricy, and will definitely be saved for special occasions and treats, it is 100% worth the price! We cannot wait to return.
I highly recommend going to the Guildhall Tavern for any occasion. I ate there on Friday the 9th of June for my wedding and the food was spectacular. Everyone in the wedding party (11) loved their food. All the food came out at the same time so we were able to enjoy each course together. The drinks were flowing too and were delicious.
All the family members praised the food and service.
We were looked after extremely well. One of the waiters there is Polish and was able to communicate with my husbands parents so they felt included with what was being said.
Me and my husband enjoyed our evening so much we will be going back to the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary each year.
Well what can I say the best food In Poole a real hidden gem atmosphere service unbelievable and as good or if not better than smiths of wapping in London or Scott’s of Richmond first class the fish was unbelievable and the manager was full of knowledge and and so helpful can’t compliment them enough
I will risk it and say its probably the best seafood restaurant in Poole.
The combination of the food, service and atmosphere make it all to very nice visit with delicious food.
