Service for us was 10/10 (thank you Elle). Accommodating, friendly and attentitive throughout our visit.
The food was spot on (which was a delight as I've been swerving here for a couple of years due to a bad food experience). I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and also very thorough with my partners dietary requirements. 2 people, 2 mains and sides plus drinks, £50 - so average on costs but both the food and atmosphere make it well worth it.
Dog friendly, which is a nice touch. Max made loads of new friends, probably as we chose to sit next to the kitchen.
What can I say? If you've been out on the Purbecks for the morning with the dog, stop by on your way home, it's pretty good all round. We recommend.
This is a Family friendly place. And the food is reasonably priced and good quality. Only thing we found inconvenient and not very good was that the toilets at the rear (close to the beer garden ) the gents toilets were dirty & the toilet cubical lock is broken & the hair dryer.
Apart from that, it’s a nice place.
Loved every bit of my evening here I travelled from Nottingham for a catch up with friends and I was not disappointed service was good food was good hot and tasty staff engaging and friendly really wort a visit. Thank you.
Part of the Vintage Inns group. Good quality food and choice of drinkks. Extensive menu and lunchtime special on offer. Friendly efficient service ,comfortable ambient surroundings. Premises under refurbishment outside but inside no problem. Plenty of free parking on site.
Great place to go for a Sunday roast! Service is great. We’ve had Chrissie serve us a couple of times now and she’s lovely! Other items on the menu we haven’t necessarily been wowed by in the past but absolutely recommend a Sunday dinner it’s gorgeous and well worth the money! We will definitely be back. Dog friendly too :)
Lovely time, in a great old pub. Lee was fun, professional & attentive. All the staff were very nice & obliging. Even a call (about dog shaded areas) from Sue, who'd read my online reservation message. The food was delicious. A little too long waiting time, once being settled in with menus & drinks. But we enjoyed it & your hospitality. Thankyou.
We had the Trio of meats Sunday roast, with sirloin of beef, pork belly with crackling, turkey breast and a side of cauliflower cheese to share. It was very tasty I must say and anybody wanting to visit, should try the honeypot dessert.....you're in for a treat!
The staff very friendly and efficient. A very pleasant experience. Well done to the Bakers Arms team. We will definitely be seeing you again.
Going out costs an arm and a leg these days and so we don't do it often. So I'm pleased to say that we had a great meal. The service was very professional and we were well looked after even though it was quite busy. The food was definitely a step above the standard pub grub, and its clear that a lot of care goes into its preparation. All in all we had a really good evening.
Lovely pub. Old fashioned with a modern twist. Lots of room and really well laid out with lots of rooms and alcoves.
Dog friendly, great selection of beers and food was really good.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Great pub and will be visiting again!
Came here on a beautiful sunny day for lunch! Had a gorgeous beef brisket sandwich with fries (I asked for fries instead of chips) and it was absolutely delicious my mum and brother had the same and we all loved it! Great place for a lovely dinner or celebration for lunch as it is on the higher end of the price scale (but not at all astronomically) definitely recommend this place, the staff were very lovely, helpful and great to talk to!
