Patisserie Mark Bennett - Lilliput

I drove here specifically after all the fantastic reviews online, and I'm a little mixed after the experience. I bought 3 pastries and 2 coffees which were really good, but the service was rather disturbing. But the Asian gentlemen who spoke to his colleagues in a non comprehensible way behind the counter, commented on what I ordered (custard slice) and laughed while looking at me. It left a level of unwillingness to come back.

Wow what a bakery very helpful staff quality of the ingredients and baking are on another level 👌 (I'd be the size of house if I lived any near here I'd be broke and the size of a house) Everything here is of the highest quality is pricey but 100% you get what you pay for and worth every penny Verdict = top bakery maybe one of best ever 🤔

Just up from where my Dad now lives,a very busy patisserie with a great selection of goodies to seduce One's taste buds😘😋 ...they look amazing too. A wee surprised though it is the norm but to charge well over a £1 per cake/ item for the privilege to eat in the cafe,(which I must say is tastefully done) is a bit if a rip off,or us it the fact that it's Lilliput? Next time it will be take out and a walk to Whitecliffe or park the car up at the ferry terminal and watch the world go by rather than traffic.

Nice place with lots of options. Great quality products. I tried their turmeric latte which was a very pleasant experience. My only criticism was being told that (the pictured) 'German Mince Pie' was german? I asked how and why it is german and was told a lot of stuff that sounded good and the explanation was finished with 'so yeh it's a Traditional German Mince Pie'. This confused me greatly. I travel to Germany 6 times a year and have for the last 10 years. I have a brother living in Frankfurt who has a German girlfriend as well as having 7 German friends of my own. All confirmed that this has never been seen in Germany. Shame as it was really tasty.
