Enjoyed our 1st meal so much we booked a table for the next day. Really impressed with the food, especially the chicken & ham pie which was on their specials menu. Dog friendly which is always a bonus. I'm not a fan of chips bit the triple cooked chips are amazing!
Visited here for family birthday celebrations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and great value for money. The pub is clean and has a great atmosphere. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening
Can't comment on the food but it did smell lovely,just had drinks. Great service with a smile,warm welcome. Great destination and gives the sense of being in the middle of nowhere and yet just down the road from home💯
We have been here several times whilst on holiday nearby. The atmosphere is always lovely, whatever time of day! The staff are so friendly and efficient and the food is superb! We ordered a few small plates to share but all the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing! We would definitely recom
Enjoyed a very pleasant visit today - Sunday lunchtime. Elegantly prepared food which was extremely tasty! The nut roast chosen by a non - vegetarian who just fancied a change was apparently the best they had ever had!..the summer pudding dessert was light and delicious. Very helpful and polite staf
Lovely weather and lovely place for spending time with friends and celebrate wedding anniversary! Watching the pictures you can see how much I liked it! We asked for small portions of fish and chips as we consider that for adults that is enough! Tasty beers and beverage selection and great champagne
Great pub, excellent food at a reasonable price and very tasty beer!! Our Labrador was warmly welcomed and we were offered a table where he wouldn’t bother others too much! We’ll be back again as soon as we visit the area in future.

Staying in the area with my partner and dog, and chose to dine here for our first night. Lovely interior, welcoming staff and dog friendly! They also helped us out with what beers were vegan, and I loved our reserved sign 🐾
Only went there as there was a closure on the A35. Decided to stop and have Sunday Roast. Glad I did. The Cranberry & Parsnip nut roast was exceptional and the staff were very friendly. Also, ample parking in two car-parks.
Great place, great food. There was some delay with my food but generally I recommend this pub if u are in the area.
Me and my hubby went for his birthday lunch he had the fish and chips , it was beautiful he said not oily but crispy and the fish was perfectly flakey. I had the lamb , and omg it was cooked to perfection melted in your mouth . Thank you guys
