Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience. Despite the scaffolding outside which of course cannot be helped sometimes. We were greeted with a pretty empty place. Maybe 10 people in a place that could sit 100 comfortably, which was a red flag. The place was clean and tidy and pretty well decorated. Loads of potential for being a great place until you look a little closer, where it's a bit tired.
The two girls that were working were surly doing their best, we thought maybe there was just a lack of training.
The food didn't make it any better. My wife had the Squid which was watery and tasteless which screams that it was frozen. I had the Nachos, soured cream, guacamole and salsa were very poor quality. Saving grace for my wife was her steak which was well cooked and very tasty. I had a mixed grill, it wasn't great. Chips were dry, but portion size was good........ We didn't stay for dessert! It's a shame. This place has such potential, but it needs some love and management. Definitely not the best Steak House in Poole as it claims.
Steak a little underdone for what we asked for and we didn't manage to eat it all. However, the service and atmosphere more than made up for it and made our experience lovely. The manger was lovely and accommodating, friendly and warm as were the other staff. Drinks were lovely. We will be returning (but will next time one up on how we like the steak cooked).

Food was good and tasty. There was an error on the bill for the drinks which disappointed me.
Beautiful food a fantastically friendly staff
We were greeted with a very friendly smile and cheery manor by a chap who appeared to be the manager or maître d' . The waitresses were also super friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The steaks were cooked beautifully as were all of the accompanying dishes.
Rancho is mid range in terms of price, but you will definitely leave feeling full as the portion sizes generally turn out to be large once you've added sides to any of the mains.
All in all a fantastic experience.

The staff that served me and my son were very nice, polite and efficient. I had chicken fajitas, they tasted fantastic, really nice. My son had steak and it was cooked perfect. The reason I'm not giving 5 star is because the squid starter was overcooked, very chewy. That is my only complaint of the evening. Price was good for the meal.I would happily go back there, very relaxing evening in a nice atmosphere.
Do you know what? It's a great steak place, the Google 'menu" makes it looked dated, and it's certainly not cheap but I had a Coffee, a Coke and dinner for £30. The steak was honestly amazing. Perfect cut, cooked well and marinaded beautifully. The chips were nothing special disappointingly but this is a steak place and not a chips place. The service was good and very attentive, not as per the Google reviews.
Went here once for my 14th birthday as a family. As I recall well, the food was incredibly tasty, we went on unlimited rib night and wait times weren't disagreeable. When it got quieter in the restaurant, the chef personally came out to check on our food. Staff were lovely. Would definitely come here again. Highly recommend!

They just need to sort out the house side salad half a cherry tomatoe 2 slices of cucumber and half a slice of red onion is appalling for the price. (we've had this on numerous occasions and is always the same so it's a standard content )........... Must stop ordering a side salad clearly
Very limited choice in soft drinks(only coke, diet coke and lemonade), but the meals make up for that and then some! We enjoyed some really well cooked dishes as family of 4, mixed grill, tenderloin, ribs, chicken fillet, all tasted really nice. French fries and baked potato incl soms sauces were nice as well. Would visit again!
