Well as we've just moved to Upton only from Hamworthy, we didn't know this place was here! But I always love to try a new place especially a chippy(my favourite) I've tried many a chippy around the Poole area and this very very nice!! Old skool chippy in my opinion, let's get to the fish and chips, We ordered 2x cod and chips. Medium chips well that's definitely enough for one person, a great portion I'd say and I love my food it was a little oily but I like that as helps it go down. The cod was a really good size with a beauty batter on the outside! So definitely all gets 5stars from me! We will definitely be using alot more as our new favourite chippy!! Also reasonably priced compared to many others and a great selection of items on the menu!! Thank you Phat Fryer!! 😊

I picked this place because the bad reviews it had were all hilariously petty and ridiculous, so it most be good. The food was delicious, especially the chips, which were even seasoned to perfection. The staff were chatty and super friendly and the food came out fast, even with a veggie burger that was made to order.

Just tried the Phat Fryer for the first time, can't recommend highly enough, beautiful fresh cooked chips, amazing tasty fish and delicious sausages. Super friendly staff

Great take away with Great home prepared food, especially the fishcakes! Definitely recommend it if you camping around South Lytchet Minster

Friendly people, chips not too salty, nice battered sausage not to greasy although it is a fish and chip shop can’t really expect anything else! Will be back

Our local chippy, I admit we come here maybe too often! The staff are friendly and both the service and food are good.

Phoned ahead to ask if they did breaded fish 🐠, they will coat any fish in breadcrumbs for you. Food was good and piping hot. All seemed to be cooked fresh, Inc the chips. Would recommend but in reality we all have different preferences, likes/dislikes etc.

We called 10mins before they shut this evening, after a long journey as we are staying at a local campsite.. The team were so helpful, even tho they were closing up for the evening they kindly freshly cooked us a large order!.. The team were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived to collect, and couldn’t do enough for us!.. we most certainly will be coming back!.. Thank you so much!
