Dive Bar Poole

Visited yesterday for the first time whilst waking by with our dog. It looked nice, so we decided to pop in on the spur of the moment for a drink. We encountered a very friendly and helpful barman. Quick service and some water brought out for the dog. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We didn't eat on this occasion, but the menu looks appealing. We will definitely return.

Friendliest bar staff in the cross by a mile. They are just really welcoming and know what they're doing. The cocktails are delicious. Normally go for happy hour and nibbles but went for a roast recently and it was excellent. Outside space to people watch and lots of tables inside. Update June 2023- Thanks for my free drink! Had a French Martini, it was perfect as usual.

1st visit as Dive Bar. Excellent food. Used Le Batteau, as it used to be, just about every Friday, lost interest when a rubbish menu was brought in. Most definitely be returning with our friends, who also gave up the same time as we did. Looking forward to our next visit. Definitely recommend to friends. Very quiet, but, after all, we were getting away from Eurovision, smart move, 👍. Excellent food and drink. Our friends were impressed by your beers, 1 being German, husband having spent a few years there, they really appreciated the choice. See you soon.

Really friendly staff who.welcone you on arrival through the door with a smile and sone small talk, which is lovely. The menu is exciting and does make you want to order every thing they serve, but this will be a good reason to visit again again to treat yourself to this tempting cuisine. Onced you have chosen your dish, the food is served in good portions, which seems to be a rare thing in restaurants these days, all cutlery is clean and shinning. A wonderful experience.

I tend to judge a business by how it deals with the hiccups that sometimes occur. My visit today threw up an issue which was no real fault of anyone at Dive Bar and was delighted by the professional and courteous manner by which it was resolved. No dramas and a sincere apology even though it was beyond the control of anyone involved on site. This alone is worth the 5 star review as well as the meal itself being everything you could expect from a Sunday roast. Well presented,plentiful and very tasty. The service was attentive without being in your face and the staff were exemplary. Great value and a relaxed atmosphere all make Dive Bar a place i am more than happy to recommend.
