Pothcawl hasn't been on the top of our places to go list, to but we decided to go there for a stroll today.
So glad we did. Having walked the length of the seafront, the Harbour Bar & Kitchen seemed to call out to us. In we went, to find a very nicely designed restaurant, with a good menu.
We went from 'We'll just have something light' to a full blown 3 course lunch followed by tea & coffee.
6 hours later we are still pleasantly full!
Porthcawl is now at the top of our list as a food destination Well done to all the staff. We will be back!
Incredible meal tonight served up by some obviously very talented chefs! This place is a gem of an establishment and a very rare find in the South Wales area. The service was outstanding and we loved the modern yet historical decor and even on a Thursday night they had a piano player which added to a lovely evening! Thanks again to all your staff ��

Has some outdoor seating, bar & restaurant area.
Immaculately clean, lovely decor & really helpful staff. (Young male bartender on Sunday afternoon 23.07.23 was an absolute credit to the business, so apologetic for being fully booked! & not able to accommodate us, gave us menu's to look at for the future & a business card to ensure we didn't miss out again & suggested booking in advance- he couldn't have done more 😊)
Good selection of drinks including beer, wine, cocktails & coffee.
Food menu had a varied selection & Sunday lunch looked amazing.
Unfortunately for us they were fully booked for food. I'll definitely go back to eat.

What a wonderful place and in such a good location. Food is fabulous and the staff are polite and efficient! Thoroughly good meal and wonderful evening - will definitely be back.
As the area outside is being developed we found this by mistake really, am I glad that I did, beautiful food in a brilliant setting with really great views. The area inside is really classy 👌 the staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly if your in the area its a must
Great service, awesome food that satisfied a very hungry 5.5yr old portion sizes were perfect.
Will definitely be coming back to this venue.

Lovely open spaced area with lovely sitting areas. Not a bad view from the windows either.
We had a party of around fifteen and they sorted everything with no issues. Can't comment on drinks prices though as I don't drink. Highly recommend and will go again
Visited last week. A beautiful and welcoming restaurant alongside the harbour, and very accommodating for children. There is a lovely selection of food and drinks, including tasty cocktails. The scallops were divine, cooked perfectly with crisped parsnips, a delicious sauce and sprinkling of pomegranate. Our family ordered four meals; steak, lamb, chicken burger and pasta, all cooked perfectly and delicious. This is a fantastic place for lunch or dinner.
The Bar & Kitchen was a beautiful find while staying in Porthcawl. Right on the water so the view is Stunning. The ambiance was gorgeous. Our server Becky was Amazing! She was kind, had a smile, was attentive and fun! The food was so good. The Monkfish and King Prawn curry was recommended by our server and absolutely exceeded my expectations! Kudos to the Chef, the meal was Fantastic and so delicious!! My family also had the Salmon and Chicken Kiev and absolutely loved their dishes as well!We will definitely be back and can't wait to bring friends and family when they visit from the States♥️Thank you!!!
We travelled from Essex to Wales to attend a family funeral and our nephew recommended this establishment as a meet up for the night before. The venue was clean, the staff were professional and friendly and the food was great. We would like to say a special thanks to Becky who went out of her way to make us very welcome after a very long drive and could not have been more attentive. Staff are an absolute credit to the Bar & Kitchen. We will definitely recommend and will return! Thank you!
The place to go in town. Excellent food but note that the portions are huge, glad that I didn‘t order a starter. Keep that in mind. Atmosphere is very nice and cozy. Staff could be a little bit more attentive in my mind. Otherwise perfect.
Fabulous lunch on Saturday & gorgeous Sunday roast on Sunday. Staff were all fantastic & so friendly. Definitely recommend.
