Had a fabulous afternoon here for the bottomless Prosecco Brunch watching the Royal Wedding. The Prosecco just continued to flow. It also included a set 5 course brunch which was delicious. I am a vegitarian & another of the ladies is a Vegan & they couldn't accommodate us enough. The staff were so attentive & really professional but friendly. Fab afternoon with a fantastic atmosphere, really hope they put on another bottomless brunch

A great place for food with friends or a night out with brilliant cocktails. The best coffee that I have had anywhere. The team are incredibly friendly and look after you so well. A wonderfully chilled atmosphere during the day for coffee and cake, lunch or brunch. A buzzing atmosphere downstairs at night. A beautiful dining experience upstairs over looking the marina. Oh and the Sunday roast!! This place has it all... somehow it blends everything all into one. Well worth a visit - especially for a cuppa by the fire!

I had bigger expectations for the place. The decor is nice & stylish, more on the modern side of Bath which is built with a Victorian & Georgian touch. The food's presentation was more eye catching rather than good tasting.

Nestled in an unexpected central back-street overlooked by an austere Jane Austin model from her museum (she hated Bath, by the way) is the enormous but happily externally un-imposing Hall and Woodhouse Bar and Restaurant, which is a Bath must. It sprawls happily over three floors, and feels part coffee shop, part living room, part library with the added bonus of food, beer and wine. Some people who are more sophisticated than I would say the interior is kitsch, but those are the kind of people you wouldn't want to share a pint with anyway, particularly in a venue that has such a sense of eclectic fun. Yes, it's a bit big, and yes, the poor waitresses appear rushed off their feet, however it's a venue that appeals from breakfast to last orders, and if you appreciate a place where the bar tender gives you advice on tourist traps to avoid, and there are antique skis and hockey sticks in the umbrella stand, you can't go far wrong.

We made our first visit yesterday for drinks and food, and were amazed by the quality of service and food. Nothing was too much trouble and the person who originally helped us had his coat on ready to go home, but stayed on for quite some while (with his coat off!) to ensure that we were looked after. We later discovered that he was the GM - obviously he sets the tone for the whole place. Food was lovely too and we'll definitely go back!

Great place to eat, very dog friendly. Exceptional pie! And desserts! Salad was a little disappointing

Nice location and like the design and overall feel of the place. Very nice outdoor seating overlooking the Marina and always enjoy a few drinks here. Haven't had a main meal here yet, but if the Starter 'nibbles' (BarBQue Chicken Wings with Triple Cooked Chips) whilst having a few drinks is anything to go by, it won't be bad. Great portion size and very delicious.

It was Saturday evening we'd been around the nature reserve and then marina for a walk, there was a chill in the air and we were ravenous! We went into a few places but no available seats, we were about to leave to get a takeaway for home but decided to just try H&W and were pleasantly surprised to find an available table for 2 in a cosy corner. We immediately ordered their porkbelly special on the recommendation of our waiter, and it didn't disappoint...the portions were huge (thankfully, as my partner and I were starving by this point) and delicious. I have been there before for a Sunday roast, and it was ace. It's definitely a great option if you're looking for yummy pub grub.

Fantastic place, great for a cup of coffee and a cake, to a full meal. Quirky construction, built of old shipping containers, and it is wonderfully comfortable inside. The staff are what makes for a good restaurant...or pub...and H&W staff are all excellent. There are a few car parking spaces outside the building, and more exist in the car park behind the building opposite. Be aware of the colour coding....and don't get caught out! Otherwise it's street parking and a walk in. Further to my earlier writing, we held our reunion for 40 former Merchant Navy Officers and the staff from H&W were wonderful, the food was brought from the kitchen to the tables in a timely manner. Everyone was impressed by the standard of the food...and the service. Thank you to everyone serving on the night.

Delicious food. Whatever you choose to eat, it's always very nice and fresh. Crunchy fish&chips smell lovely and so they taste. Hake on couscous and veggies , mmm yummy.. We love the staff and often pop for a drink only too. Lovely local place, looks so cosy now at Christmas 🎄

Called in for a some tea/coffee late Sunday afternoon after a long walk up the coast after the first 3 places we passed were either closed or didn't do hot drinks! But here we sat outside at the front, ordered at the bar and our drinks were brought out quickly and were perfect for what we needed!

Went with friends for coffee & cakes, we were given a very warm welcome & our order was taken very quickly. We were spoilt for choice for cakes, my friends had red velvet & a cookie, I had lemon cake, all of which were delicious, we also had a fudge sweet served with our coffee, what a lovely touch! The staff were all very friendly even though they were busy. Will certainly be coming again.
