If you like a good ale pub, then this is the place to be. Offering a fantastic choice of beers. It is a small pub but makes it more cosy. They offer a sample of the beers for you to taste before you buy. Service is friendly and always happy to advise on what they offer. Highly recommended.
I discovered this pub by accident when looking for somewhere in the area for a pint. It has a great range of cask and keg beers and the lady serving was very knowledge about her beers. Unfortunately we had already eaten so couldn't try the bangers and mash! This felt very much like a local, with a good friendly atmosphere. It has no music or TV, just the buzz of conversation. I will definitely be back for the beer and hopefully the food as well.
