Brewhouse & Kitchen - Portsmouth (guildhall)

The food wasn’t as good as it usually is, items missing (one of us had ordered dirty wings due to the advertised blue cheese, was delivered without any blue cheese and when she asked for it was told they didn’t have any and 2 of us didn’t have any garlic mayo) little things but this has never happened before. Just didn’t taste as nice as previous visits.

This was the first we had visited a Brewhouse & Kitchen establishment and we were very impressed with the Portsmouth Guildhall one. There was a nice vibe around the place and all the staff provide excellent customer service. We all agreed that The Brewer’s IPA Battered Fish & Chips was the nicest fish we could remember having in a pub. However as my Mum says there’s Always Room for Improvement so could you make the plates bigger next time 😉

Me and my brother in law went there for a whisky and beer pairing experience and it was absolutely amazing! All credit goes to Olly who was nothing but lovely with a true passion for what he does (which is rare nowadays). It’s a shame that we both felt unwell so couldn’t enjoy the full experience but would defo do it again!!

We had one of Brewhouse’s gin tasting experiences with a meal included. Lovely space, great food. Georgia was a fantastic host and talked us through the history of gin and explained the different types of gin in a clear, informative but most importantly fun and engaging way. Would definitely recommend!

Nice pub & food. My friends enjoyed theirs, but said the Budda bowls were quite small for a main meal. I didn't enjoy mine, but maybe I chose wrongly, as had B&K Pulled Chicken salad. It was just like a Caesar salad with a few bits of chicken, but mostly lettuce. I would have said something, but we were on a tight time schedule to get to a show. I'll certainly choose differently next time.

We booked a lunch before a Graduation ceremony. The numbers changed a few weeks before the booking, but this proved no problem. Very efficient booking system. The staff in the bar could not have been more efficient and friendly. One girl was also to graduate the same week and gave us useful information directing us to pick up the gown and other things. So well done Brewhouse Portsmouth - your staff are a credit to you. Food tasty and hot and all as ordered

We visited for the Brewing Experince day and it was fantastic. Arrived at 10am and within an hour we had started the brewing process, had breakfast and was given our first of 9 beers of the day. All 9 beers were completely different and at the end of the day we could pick a 10th beer aswell as take home a 5l keg of our choice. The brewer, Olly, was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly loved what he was doing. We were given food at lunchtime which we got to choose ourselves from the lunch menu. The quality of the food was excellent. Overall would absolutely recommend if you are a beer lover.
