A proper sit down chippy. Cod, haddock, chips, bread and butter and mushy peas. Perfect. Nothing pretentious, just real food.
Quiet, clean, relaxing atmosphere. The fish and chips are splendid, best around according to many locals, and I believe it. The mushy peas, curry sauce, and tea is also all fantastic, and both the haddock and cod (and whitebait starters) are terrific. Finally, the sticky pudding is outstanding. You definitely need to check this out. Large portions, served hot, friendly service. Our group of 9 had a lovely time. Can't recommend this spot highly enough 👌🏼
Took my three granddaughters for lunch and they all said it was an amazing meal. All had something different....fish...chicken bites and halumi bites. Clean plates all round and all said it was the best curry sauce they'd ever had. The service was second to none and our waitress was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you.

Got served by a lady called Nicky who was a breath of fresh air after spending the morning removing wax from peoples ears (it’s my job, love it) she was polite and could definitely read the room and knew how to interact with the customers, she was professional and knew how to have a giggle. Perfect combo!
Got home with my food still hot and I enjoyed every single mouthful. So worth ruining my diet for 😜

We popped into get the free kids sausage and chips I was highly impressed lovely sized portions and both my children said they tasted lovely 1 is extremely fussy we will definitely use again!

Utterly delicious fish and chips and wonderful friendly staff 😊 Lady who served and greeted us was so pleasant and the food was so filling and well cooked. The only thing I’d say is the price is high. However, I strongly believe you get what you pay for and it was worth the extra 💷

Food is really good and at good price, love the fact that chips are actual fried potatoes and not the frozen ones they serve in pubs. The staff is fantastic and very polite. Strongly suggested.
I'm an expat Brit who has moved to Canada -- when I come back to visit my family top of my list is to have "proper fish and chips". I always make a point to come here. I recently ordered a feast for my whole family, 5 pieces of cod, chips and battered sausage. The chips and nice and chunky, the fish white and flakey and the batter light and delicious.
