The bread with sauces and pickled veg to start is a nice touch and not to be sniffed at. The hot sauce is amazing.
I loved all parts of my meal and the taste of the smokey charcoal grill really adds to all items on the plate.
Nice service .Very respectful staff... They are opening the door for you when you are getting in and going. They are grilling the meat infront of you so you can see that is fresh.
Turkish food is one of the best choices and Istanbul Restaurant is one of the best in Portsmouth.

What an absolutely fabulous meal we had tonight. We were there for a birthday meal and it was a table of 5 of us. Everyone's dishes were beautifully spiced and cooked to perfection. The food is fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere, we always come here first after arriving in Southsea. It soothes our tired hungry selves after the red eye. Writing this review and calling the food to mind is making me want to go back tonight for dinner!
