The Crispy Cod

After a long day at work and miserable weather, we decided fish and chips would go down well. Given that we are a port city, with a fishing industry (albeit small), the fish and chips available in Portsmouth really is quite poor. Until now that is…………The food from here was fantastic, proper sized pieces of well cooked cod and lovely chips. According to my wife, the team in here were also amazingly friendly, all backed by a 5 star food hygiene rating - a real hidden gem! We both said that arguably these were the best fish and chips that we have ever had in Portsmouth, by a very long way. We will happily return and would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks team and keep up the good work!

First time getting good here - always a little apprehensive when trying a new place. Probably the cleanest chippy I’ve ever been in😂 served by a super smiley, friendly lady. Food was very quick although I’m happy to wait and there were many orders ahead. The batter was super! Crunchy, crispy, not greasy and surprisingly light for chippy batter. Chips were good too! Decent priced and a good meal. Definitely will be back!
