Good menu - covers all that you'd expect from a f&c shop and enough veggie options. The food was tasty. Average pricing. Staff polite, efficient, easy on the eye. Only thing I'd suggest is some seating while you wait.

Nice little local fish and chip shop, with a friendly owner. Only popped in for a quick portion of chips- which were delicious. Menu looked decent enough to return for dinner when I'm next in town 😀

Changed my intial review as they are advertised in Just Eat, but Just Eat no longer take the orders from them. Use Deliveroo instead. Lovely chips and a massive cod. The money vs quality is amazing. Highly recommended

Been using Excell for years, best Chippy Chips in Pompey, unless you prefer the Kebab shop style Chips or Frozen Chips, if you do then go elsewhere and don't leave Excell a bad review just because you didn't get your own way. I've ordered from other Chippies and they either keep changing their sausage supplier, i've had some horrid tasting Battered Sausages elsewhere but Excell's have always been consistently tasty. I like my battered Cod Crispy, if you like yours soggy then go elsewhere. Excell are fairly generous, their Chips are rustic because they are fresh cut chips, unlike most chippies who use frozen chips. Well deserved 5 stars, especially for consistency. Have to admit once my Chips were not up to their usual standard but it was late in the evening and only once so no big deal.

Best fish and chips i have had so far.. my kids also enjoy them and want this feast on Fridays.
The cool mint milkshake is the best I have had so far. Will definitely be back for more.
