Outstanding Mexican Dining Experience. I had an amazing experience at La Carretera. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was tasty with generous portions and reasonable prices. The atmosphere was excellent, and the outdoor seating was wonderful. Perfect for business lunches or family dinners. Highly recommended!
A nice Mexican themed restaurant in downtown Portsmouth. Fresh interior and friendly staff make you feel welcome when you step in. The enchiladas Mexicano were tasty. Fresh tasting, lightly sauced. My companion enjoyed their vegetarian fajitas.
Took my 11 year old daughter there for dinner. I had the enchiladas super rancheras and an el diablo margarita. My daughter had beef tacos. She really enjoyed her meal. My drink was great, and my enchiladas were okay. The service was prompt and friendly, and as a former food service industry guy, this goes a long way with me.
