Caribbean Delight

Recently managed to get some food from here and I was really pleased by both the flavour and portions, I say 'managed' because it was one of the only times I've seen it open in the past month. Unfortunately you cannot rely on it for consistency. BIG EDIT: It is open again as normal so now a 5* choice!!

The food is amazing! I usually don't go to Caribbean places because the food doesn't taste as good as my parent's cooking,but I was really pleasantly surprised.I ordered the jerk chicken on my way home from work one day,and my taste buds were in heaven! I would definitely recommend this place if you want rich,tasty and authentic food.

I have ordered from here on multiple occasions and it never disappoints. Being from the Caribbean this is my go to place for food. The staff are amazing and super friendly. Often times if I'm not fast enough want I want would have sold out but they've always got something else that's equally as delicious.

Not your average Caribbean Restaurant! The staff were super friendly and helpful, not to mention the speedy service. I'm a Uni student that orders regularly because of the consistency of the quality of the food and the portions... I've pretty much tired most of the menu as I usually pick the day special now. My favourite is the Oxtail, Rice n peas... However, I always in indulge in the weekly Jerk Tuesdays!

The food is absolutely gorgeous. Freshly cooked and bursting with Caribbean flavours. I had oxtail rice n peas with plantine and freshly cooked fried dumplings. What more can you ask for ...wkd. I came up from Brixton south london for the day and my oh my there's not a Caribbean take away down here that as got me talking about like Caribbean Delight. BIG UP to Dionne and crew!! NUFF LOVE!!! WILL BE COMING BACK FOR SECONDS SOON!!

Drove from Southampton to try this place out and we weren't disappointed ! I had the meat loaf, with rice and pea's also a side dish of saltfish and ackee as well as a dumpling. My wife had the curry goat with rice and pea's and also had a dumpling. Well to say we were happy with the food is an understatement ! Everything was cooked fresh and with passion. The two young ladies were friendly and chatty and you could tell they loved what they cooked and to see us enjoying it so much. Really can't wait till the next time we're in Pompey to visit again. Absolutely loved the food at Caribbean Delight. Visited Portsmouth a few months ago and stumbled across this goldmine in the heart of Fratton. Ordered the curry goat and rice and peas along with Mac n cheese and jerk wings. And my my my how in love I was with the food. Anybody who lives in the Portsmouth area I HIGHLY recommend you visit this place!
