Amazing! I have a few food intolerances including wheat, mushrooms and onions, so eating out can be tricky. I literally never have to worry about coming here! They do really good gluten free pizza bases and are so accommodating with their menu when I ask if they can make a meal without something. The food always tastes delicious, the views are great and the beer gardens in summer are perfect.
Lovely pub/restaurant. Beautiful location too, especially in a sunny day. Food is aleays very good, staff efficient, cutious and polite. Good value for money. Highly recommend it.
The pizza sauce is incredible!
I highly recommend the vanilla cheesecake for dessert.
Although the restaurant was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon, the service was excellent.
The views are stunning and it has a very welcoming atmosphere.
It was nice to see a diverse range of people visiting the restaurant.
I will definitely be visiting again.
10/10
What a fantastic place.
Beautiful views, serene atmosphere and delicious food. The majority of staff were delightful!
I would like to point out Niroshana, Sophie and Maisie Aburn. All just such a helpful and happy bunch. I will add nonetheless, the manager on the day (male, long hair) was extremely condescending to his staff. Genuinely I was horrified. Seemed like someone on a power trip. Nonetheless he was lovely to us as guests but still leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth.
Will definitely return for the ambience, the service and the great quality food.
Hi there,
We have visited this restaurant and can confirm that the garden is really beautiful and food was nicely presented and tasty.
Just maybe the manager could be slightly more polite/nicer perhaps a bit more softer, otherwise over all, the staff was wonderful as well as the location and the food! We will be back for sure!
Beautiful views, delicious food and friendly staff. We sat outside on a beautiful sunny day, admiring the countryside views, but the new garden room is the perfect place to dine through all seasons. Highly recommend the halloumi chips!
Visited OG for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. You’ve never stumble accross it by accident. Unless you’ve been told to go or seen a review, you’d never venture this far. But OMG was it worth it.
The pizza was incredible. As a vegetarian they switched toppings on any pizza to make us something that was out of this world.
Better than the food was the service. Mark (the manager) was outstanding. He really set the bar so high for the rest of his team.
I’m sure you won’t regret paying them a visit. Thank you Old Guinea
We enjoyed our get together here. The table was ready ahead of our reservation time and set up nicely. Service was efficient and responsive for a busy Sunday. Food is nice and well made. We really loved the Bruschetta and Garlic bread - simple things done well is indicative of how seriously they take the food preps.
For vegetarians one thing to note: the chunky chips are cooked in the same oil as they do other meat items. Check with your server if this is of consequence to you.
Good service staff are professional and well managed. Free parking on site. In door and out door seating. Clean premesis facilities. Well maintained.
Food was good. Nice views and relaxing vibe.
This place is one of my favourite places. And today did not disappoint. It was for my dads birthday. Great service & food as always. Thank you to all the staff. Highly recommend
Decided to go for a meal at The Old Guinea, last night, as our daughter was off to University the next day. Haven’t been there before but will definitely go back. Fantastic location, restaurant is great. Ambience and atmosphere was lovely. Food was excellent, portions huge, took some home! Cocktails superb. Service was excellent, staff were so helpful and attentive for our allergies. Well worth a visit, reasonably priced, great food and service.
The location was amazing. Very relaxing scenery. All dishes were delicious 😄
