We found this little gem by accident as had a dog running at Towcester and arrived too early so stopped here for a meal, and were pleasantly surprised! food was beautiful and faultless, the staff are so friendly and welcoming too, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting and will be our regular when visiting towcester in future!

We have had a fantastic meal tonight. Hot food served on warm plates.... brilliant! The food was expertly cooked to perfection. Towcester Mill beer on tap ...... Bell Ringer ..... excellent! Service is excellent on all fronts. Very well done all involved! We will be back many times over. Thank you for a great experience!

Nice large pub with rear pub garden. Good pub food and friendly staff. Nice "proper pie" encased in pastry. Wednesday currently has a Steak Night offer, 2x steak and chips plus a bottle of house wine from around £43 Tried the Sunday Roast: gammon, turkey and beef options, tasty vegetables and Yorkshire puddings, all good.

Been here on multiple occasions - for meals out with friends, quiz nights, breakfast - and have never ever been disappointed. Service is 5 star and the food is some of the best pub grub I've had. Always comes out piping out and with it being homemade, it's delicious. All of the staff here have worked so hard to make this the place that it is - welcoming, homely and a really enjoyable experience. Friends that I've recommended this place to have also said the same. The outdoor area is an amazing addition to the pub with a sheltered area and lots of space to accommodate drinks outside (when the weather is nice of course!). Give it a try, I'm sure you'll be back more than once.

Stayed for one night while working near by in Milton Keynes. Room was immaculate, well prepared and well presented. Food was lovely and the steak and mushroom pie I had was awesome! Friendly staff and a good location if working in MK. Only negative was no breakfast in the week before 11:00am which is no use at all if on business. That said I get it, with just 5 or 6 rooms its maybe not worth to turn on the ovens and pay a chef! Instead the rack rate reflects a room only rate which is fine given there are other places to grab a breakfast should it really be needed.

SO NICE !!!!!! The car park is large. Entrance is off the side of the building and main car park. As soon as we entered we got a friendly greeting. All staff were great . The menu is varied. Food great value and fresh . Various offers and events for parents, kids and emergency services.

Excellent meal. We called in without booking and were straight away offered a table. As we had our dog we said we'd eat outside even though dog friendly. Meal ordered and brought to us in the lovely small eating area outside. Food really good and generous portions. Staff professional. Definitly will eat here again

We had a really lovely night’s stay here, our room was great, really clean and comfortable with very good decor. We were met with a very warm welcome by Jim the Landlord and Jodi at the bar and we immediately struck up a great relationship with them. Fabulous service. We had a delicious breakfast served and made by Pauli and his team and again we we’re really well looked after. We will definitely return and highly recommend this lovely place

I love the setting and the atmosphere at The Old Talbot. The Porkie burger was cooked perfectly but I was particularly impressed with the tomato and basil soup starter which was the best I've ever had. If you are looking to have the bread and butter pudding then make sure you have plenty of room as the serving is generous.

Very nice food enjoyed here, the menu was abit outdated as we ordered two drinks that they no longer have, other than that it was a very nice meal.
