We made a night of it for our anniversary. The food was just sensational. Our starter the belly pork was gorgeous, we had the sharing platter for our main - steaks cooked to perfection and the prawns were out of this world. We also pushed the boat out and added half a lobster- wow �!.. And desserts. Well just yummy! The service was amazing from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. We booked the suite for the night and it was amazing - The bath � literally it was 5 star service at its best. We will definitely return :) P. S. Breakfast the next day incl. In the room price was also unbelievable!
Stayed over for the night,room was excellent and quality for the price, the service and welcome from everyone who work there is 5 star, i had problems parking but the management had it sorted within 10 minutes, meals were beautiful, considering some people thought the steaks were expensive, we have spent more on a night out in couples on taxis and drink without a meal, well worth every penny spent on a special night away

Had a meal and stayed overnight. Everything was fantastic from the food to the staff, especially the poor barman who had to make my Old Fashioned, however it was one the best I have had.
Highly recommended making a night of it. The full English was phenomenal too. 5 stars.

Had a brilliant overnight stay at Potto, great customer service from checking in to checking out.
We arrived earlier than planned and the restaurant was really busy but the guy who checked us in found us a table non the less.
We enjoyed a gin & a beer and bottle of wine with some food. We had a table booked later on for dinner so just shared a selection of starters tapas style.
Our room (5) was beautifully decorated and immaculate, as was the ensuite.
Excellent value at under £50 as it was a Sunday night.
After a rest & shower wandered down for a couple of drinks before dinner. Great choice of beers, gins & cocktails.
Our evening meal was just as good, both had parmos and shared a couple of desserts, cookie dough & brownie,yummy!
Washed down with a bottle of wine and finished with Irish coffees. Hubby even took a shot of malt whiskey up to the room as a nightcap.
Next morning we had breakfast, have to mention what a great menu choice and all really well cooked.
Checked out and had a little 3 mile wander around the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside surrounding thd pub and called back in for coffees before we headed off home, at that point the young lady serving us said the coffees were on the house. What a fantastic gesture, much appreciated and excellent example of customer service.
What an amazing hospitality team at Potto from the front of house, bar & waiting staff obviously the chefs & kitchen staff judging by the standard of food and not to forget the cleaning team as all areas were immaculate and very well presented.
A credit to the business.

Absolutely beautiful area for a restaurant. We had a 3 course special which was fantastic and the lady that served us was very smart, friendly. Knowledgeable & extremely efficient. It was my friends birthday which we were talking about at the table and the young lady brought her desert on a wooden serving platter with happy birthday in chocolate & it was gorgeous. Would highly recommend.
We came for breakfast and had a really pleasant experience. The food was fantastic and the service was great all for a reasonable price.
Great place to have a meal or drink. Not over priced and pretty nice decor and location. Plenty of seating options but would recommend making a reservation as it was busy a couple of times I have been. Food is pretty good, especially the breakfast. Great staff.
Would definitely eat there again when I’m next in that area. 👍🏻
We stayed in the suite for the night and had a great time. From first check in all the way through the staff were friendly and helpful. The food (tomahawk of course!) was fantastic, starters and main! And the breakfast, even though we were told there was a problem with the kitchen was fantastic!
Our first time visiting but definately recommend and we will be back!

Stayed overnight, the food was excellent...Partner and I both had the Rib Eye with sides...it was perfect.
The 'Tomohawk Bombe' for dessert was lush.
Accommodation was superb too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
In short an excellent stay...thank you.
Great food, lovely place, and fab location
Had an overnight stay here with the Mrs. Fantastic welcome on arrival and great staff. Dined in the restaurant and it’s probably the best steak I’ve had and puts Miller and Carter to shame. Room was nicely decorated and furnished and modern bathroom.
Definitely recommend this restaurant for the food and accommodation.
