Called for a light lunch enjoyed a pulled pork ciabatta with side salad and fries it was a lovely day so we dined outside. Food arrived in good time and the staff were pleasant. It's part of a pub restaurant chain and so the main menu seems to play it safe with mostly 'family favorites', it is a very busy place especially at weekends and with the excellent weather recently the large beer garden will quickly fill, price wise two lunches and 2 drinks came to £30.50 pretty fair methinks 😃

First time here and its really nice. The chips are super chunky. We only had chips, rings and coffee as a light snack. Will be back for dinner for sure

We had a reservation for 15 people to dine. The service was excellent and the meals were beautiful, all presented together without any waiting. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Pleasantly surprised by the food, some are nicer than others but the burgers, chicken stack and mushroom stack were enjoyed by my family. Halloumi fries were a bit disappointing, very thin and overcooked but overall not bad for a cheap lunch.

Nice family or couples pub. Food was really nice, and the prices are good, so didn't feel like I was getting ripped off, will Deffo be going back. If you are thinking of going for food just make sure you book first.

Lovely place, staff always have a smile and the carvery is nice, decent music being played which makes a change, I believe the pub hosts live music every week too, nice to see a pub doing as much as it can, keep it up!!!!

Alex, the quizmaster at the Cookhouse Rainhill, is amazing! He did such a great job hosting the quiz night. He was funny, engaging, and kept the energy up the whole time. The questions were great too - he really knows how to keep things interesting. I can't wait to go back and see him again! He does follow me to the bogs frequently though…

Don't normally leave a review. However the food was the best pub food I have tasted in years. Service was excellent. Live music Sunday afternoon. Absolutely 1st class
